Detox Your Way To Health And Energy

Posted by: jude   in Senior Health

Many people are reluctant to talk about their  body functions and I find that hilarious because as you age that seems all the conversation we are interested in. We like to compare all our aches and pains and see who has the worst and advise our cronies of what helped us and how they can benefit from taking this product or that.

One subject that has gained momentum is how to detox our body and get rid of all the toxins that we build up. You hear about the celebrities going for body detoxification’s and I even watched it on television and thought to myself no way in hades would I humiliate myself like that, yeah I know these people are trained, but I don’t care.

I can still remember my Mama giving me enemas as a child because I was always constipated and to see myself going to a public facility to get rid of the toxins, no way. It became popular and fashionable with celebrities and then more people realized it was actually healthy for their bodies, but if I’m going to do that it will be at home without someone monitoring me.

Many people use many different products and programs for detoxing their body and each person must decide what is best for them. I use to fast, but sometimes I went to long, if you have eating disorders and even if you don’t you should always check with your doctor first, they can recommend a detox program that will benefit you, but I saw a product on television that was a natural way to detox your colon called Dual-Action Cleanse®

I would never go to a public place for a colon cleansing no matter what the benefits are and how they claim you can lose 20 pounds in one session, good for them. I do know that the safest way to detoxify is to do it the natural way with proper diet, but of course we don’t all do that.

I have tried everything else on the market even activia, but I still have problems. I envy people that have no problems and can cleanse their colon naturally with no help. Many people have no problem reducing the junk food they eat and avoid fats, alcohol, caffeine, and food additives and I like the fact they everyone is trying to eat healthier.

They eat lots of digestible vegetables and fruit that are rich in vitamins that help flush out the toxins, but sadly we don’t always get all the fiber we need to get rid of toxins so we need help and the product I mentioned above has so many natural herbs and nutrients I could never get them all by eating so it may serve me well, at least it would be more natural and I could detox in the privacy of my home.

20 lbs? 20 lbs? I am falling off my chair! That sounds just ludicrous. I drink a couple of cups of warm water every morning and I live on fish oil. Keeps me fine :)

By the way .. you have been TAGGED. A Zodiac Meme. See the rules on my blog

Sure I got enemas as a child and drank some kind of oil but these days if I eat right I can pretty much guarantee myself a clean system.

But I much prefer this method – Margaritas and fajita nachos in the warm spring sunshine………makes me good everytime :):):)

Not too long ago I ran into an old friend online and we were chatting. It wasn’t long and the subject had turned to health issues. We laughed when I told him, “You do realize don’t you that we sound like a couple of old fogies discussing their health, don’t you?”

My mom gave me castor oil when I was kid… still can’t stand the smell of it to this day! I tried one detox system. You take a couple pills and a packet of some grassy stuff in water for a week, but I didn’t notice much difference. Fortunately for me, coffee is all I need for a good detox!

I’m on day 7 of a 10 day herbal detox. The purpose of it isn’t just to make you regular; it cleanses the liver, kidneys etc of heavy metals and other toxins that we have accumulated over years. It is very beneficial for people with skin problems like eczema for that reason, which is the main reason I am doing it. And you need to repeat the detox a couple times a year to keep your filtering systems up to snuff. Like you, I would never go to a place for a detox; I want to do it in the privacy of my own home.
