I have been to Ocean City and Rehoboth many times and even lost a lot of money in Atlantic City which was no fun, but hey it was my vacation. I should have just stayed on the beaches and visited the surrounding areas because there are lots of  things to do in New Jersey  besides gamble. Bill wants to go down this year for a week and I have a new spot for him and I would love to take a ferry ride.

I have never been to Wildwood however or visited Morey’s Piers and we could ride up and take Lewes Ferry across. Even though they are said to get over 9 million visitors a year and  were voted by FamilyFun Magazine as the “Top Tourist Town in the Northeast” I wasn’t one of them. They have the largest boardwalk in America that spans 38 blocks and there is something to do at all times, never a dull moment from all reports.

Morey’s Piers would make a great family spot for a New Jersey vacation. The beaches are free and you don’t need a pass and there are lots of water sports to participate in, they have golf and are even home to the National Marbles Hall of Fame, now who can pass that up? The biggest attraction by all accounts is the beachfront waterparks with over 100 rides and attractions. I love amusement parks, but Bill doesn’t like to ride.

In July on the 7th, 14th, and 21st at 1 and 4 they will have a Radio Disney Summer Concert Series which is free on the Disney stage located on the Mariner landing pier next to the huge Ferris wheel and I like free. So if you’re there be sure and stop by and listen to the concert. However if you choose to see the finale on July 26th then you would have to buy tickets, but you can see many of the top Radio Disney Artist for free and that should be fun.

If you buy tickets for the finale they will give a discount for the waterpark up until the 27th and it’s always nice to get a discount on something and that’s a nice incentive, you can check all the details for yourself. You don’t have to worry about accommodations because Wildwood has over 8,000 hotel/motel rooms and you can check out the Wildwood NJ motels for yourself online.
