Hi Karen,
I dare say that there are many places that weren’t as nice as the one I was in and it is sad when you can’t be with loved ones for whatever reason. I was very fortunate and I have always been able to adapt. There are also many horror stories I could tell, but I prefer to leave those alone and any place was better than living with my aunt who was an evil practising witch.

Hi Carole,
As you know there are no stupid questions and yes orphanages do still exist. Not everyone from there shares the good memories that I have unfortunately for them and Chris did an amazing job for all of us kids. It’s great isn’t it? I really hope this might attract some attention encase others from Bonny Oaks are looking for a part of their past. Thanks so much for taking the time to visit and comment and share a part of my past.

Wow, thanks for sharing that – that is very interesting. This may be a really stupid question, but do they even have orphanages anymore? I’m under the impression these days that kids are put into foster homes? That’s amazingly wonderful that you have nice memories from there. I spent some time looking at the website. I can hardly believe all the scrapbooks and photos, and all the work done to put that online! How wonderful! Thanks again for sharing.
