If it were centered, it would be a tiny bit more neat looking. It's not terrible left aligned like it is, so don't get too worked up over it. There also aren't all that many people who view things at these higher resolutions, so they won't even notice where the header is aligned. I think, too the tree trunk on the left of the header image may make you think the header is lined up oddly. All in all you've done an admirable job! The only couple of things I noticed is the header like Laura said, I have a large monitor so it doesn't exactly line up over the content. An easy fix is to set fixed width for the header and put the margins at 0 auto that should center the header and the recent viewers section could be moved a couple of pixels to the left.
