Apparently this template has gotten very popular and I see it more and more so I’m looking for something close, but a little different. I may be changing it over the weekend so if it goes down then you will know why and know that I am working hard to restore it. I’m not the brightest light in the house so I’m not sure if everything will go right, but I always try hard.
I have resisted upgrading this WordPress version, but I may try doing that also, but the last time I upgraded I lost everything and they told me that I should have deactivated all of the widgets I was using before I upgraded. Well, I just thought I would let you know before I try it tomorrow or Sunday so now that you know I will wish you a great weekend and hopefully see you Monday.
Many people have started up home businesses to try and make ends meet and even though many you can start on a shoestring budget you still have to advertise and spend some money for printed items like business cards and postcards to send out for your business, plus novelty items like pens, hats, magnets and those types of trivial things, but they don’t have to cost a fortune if you use VistaPrint.
VistaPrint is being used more by many small entrepreneurs and businesses because they give so much more and they have quality items for those of us on a budget and it’s very easy to customize anything you want. Sure you can spend lots of money at the printer down the street, but do they give you the quality you want for the least amount of money? No, I didn’t think so all you have to do is compare the prices and you will see that VistaPrint gives more for your money.
You can even create your own custom signature stamp. When you do payroll or if you send out a lot of business letters it’s so much easier to just stamp them or have your secretary do it for you so long as she’s authorized, it’s not like she would be forging your signature, however I’m not sure about all the technicalities there. It is still handy if your lazy like me and get tired of signing your name all the time.
Bill told me a story about how he wanted a guitar when he was young and no one ever got him one. It made me feel very sorry for him so a couple years ago I went down to the pawn shop and bought him one for 125 dollars and then took it to the music store to get new strings and have it tuned. When I gave it to him he was very touched. We bought a child’s guitar for Nate at Christmas and he and Pappy had a ball Pickin and a Grinnin.
He was trying to teach himself the chords so I downloaded everything I could find. He played with it for the longest till I suggested he should go take some lessons, now what’s wrong with that suggestion? Maybe he thought I was telling him how bad he was at any rate he stopped trying to learn. I can’t figure these men out or how they think. I was even going to pay for the lessons. I told him that him and Nate could go together, one 6 the other 60, now how cool is that?
He also told me about a pair of cowboy boots he had wanted when he was a little boy and cut out the picture and gave it to his MOM and she said she would order them for him. They were black with turquoise and purple with white up the middle and everyday he would go to the post office and ask the Postmistress if his boots had come yet. They lived in a small town in VA. so of course she knew little Billy and she would say no, sorry not yet.
His poor old Mom didn’t have much money and God love her she didn’t want to disappoint him so she gave him hope, but thought he would forget about it in time, but he didn’t. Every single day he went to the Post Office with hope in his little face and everyday the little guy was disappointed, but for a whole year he held on to that hope never wavering until he started liking girls.
He still remembers those boots and still likes to tell the story and he is so good at relating a story that no matter how many times I hear the story I still laugh or feel the pain that a small child would have felt. If I ever find any of those damn cowboy boots the way he described them I swear I’ll buy them even if he never wears them he can have the friggin things bronzed even though it wouldn’t be quite the same, he would at least know I adore him.
I was tagged by Carole’s Thoughtful Spot to do a meme, but the only problem is I don’t like tagging other people so when this happens I simply write a little post and just link back if I visit their blog and if I actually like it.
In Carole’s case I do and I think she’s sweet and I like reading about her trials and tribulations like the episode of her dog going through the screen door and how they fixed it. I think you might enjoy visiting Carole with her cute little cow widget. She wanted to know 6 of my unspectacular quirks so I will list them.
1.I see these meme’s all over the place and I never read them. Not sure if that’s a quirk, but I ignore them because even though they have info about the webmaster they are like ad’s to me. 2. First thing in the morning I have a cup of coffee and 2 aleve’s even if I don’t need them.
3. I wont eat the outer edge of toast. 4. I like peas mixed in with my mashed potatoes. 5. I have to hug my pillow to go to sleep, Bill calls it my man pillow. 6. I can’t stand to touch a popsicle stick it makes my skin crawl. Okay that’s enough quirks from me.
Now there is also a tag and award from Jean’s musings about writing and life and if you want to see the cute little award you can visit Jean’s blog because I have to decline the award. I visited the blog it comes from and it was in a different language so I had no clue what the blog is all about.
I certainly did appreciate the fact that Jean picked me from these instructions 1) You have to pick 5 blogs that you consider deserve this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and also for contributing to the blogging community, no matter what language.
I can understand Jean’s blog so I have no problem in giving linky love to her blog, but other than seeing some nice knitting pictures on the other one which I certainly understood I couldn’t understand what was written and if I can’t read it then I can’t link to it. I hope you understand Jean, but I am giving you a link just because you thought of me, so Thanks alot.
