Friday Morning Chit Chat

   Posted by: admin   in Misc

I have to admit that I am more comfortable on this blog than the other two that I write for, this one is really me. It’s more my speed and if I knew how I could combine the two with this one I would. It would be so much easier for this mature lady. Today is Friday the 4th and Bill was off yesterday until Monday so we’ve been kicking back.

Yesterday we rode to Chambersburg and came back through Gettysburg, “Big Mistake” the town was packed and I didn’t have my camera with me to take pictures of all the soldiers and ladies in their Civil War garb. They are doing the reenactment this weekend and we forgot how crowded it is with tourist during this time. All that idling isn’t good for the bike. They expect between 30 to 40,000 tourist this weekend.

It’s rainy this morning, but I’m hoping for some clearer weather especially for the fireworks tonight. Bill and my furry son hate fireworks, but I love them and they don’t bother Sadie either so we watch them together. All the boom boom booms remind Bill of his time in Vietnam which I can certainly understand so he’s not a big fan. We were somewhere last year for a celebration and they shot a cannon and he almost jumped out of his skin.

Well, Bill has breakfast cooked and that bacon smells good so I have to go so we can start our day. I did some EC’s earlier and maybe I’ll have time for more later, but I wont hold my breath. Have a great and safe July 4th everybody.

I could see when why army veterans may not be fond of fireworks. They make me jump too sometimes, and I’m not even a vet. My husband’s not big on them either. I do like to watch them, but am not big on crowds so we usually just stay home.
