A Peaceful Sunday Morning

Posted by: jude   in Home and Family

I’m trying to think of something to post today while Bill is cooking breakfast for his son and 2 granddaughters, but my mind is a total blank which is not unusual and can at times be very frustrating. Like the time I looked all over for my favorite coffee mug and even accused Bill of breaking it and not telling me, now how stupid do you think I felt when I found it in the microwave the next day.

At times I do worry myself and do think I’m getting (hate to say the word) senile. I have learned over the past 6 years that Bill is usually correct when we start talking about an event or someones age or who died and when. I have been proven wrong more times than I care to admit and then I have to eat crow and apologise, he never argues over anything he simply states what he knows and I’m the one that tries to contradict.

I don’t try and contradict any more I simply check what he says on the computer now and if he’s wrong then I show him proof, but he’s seldom ever wrong. Darn man has the memory of an elephant. We don’t get to see Billy and his daughters much because Chris has such a big family and they are always doing something with them so this is a treat for Bill.

Since Chris is out of town this weekend Billy is own his own so this will be a treat for him also because he loves his Dad’s cooking and we can see the little girls without a group around. The oldest one is spoiled rotten and the youngest is the apple of Pappy’s eye because she’s so much like him and doesn’t let anyone run over her, she’s so comical and even favors him.

Well the dogs are barking so it sounds like they have arrived so I’ll wrap this up so I can get on with my Sunday we have lots to do. I hope everyone has a lovely, restful day and I’m sure we are all praying for the people in Texas and surrounding areas.

Oh gosh I have noticed for years that I am finding it harder to remember names and I’m still in my 40s – so who knows whats around the corner. And my father is the same as your husband – he always seems to be right about these things…arghhh he he. Hope you enjoyed your breakfast and your time with your grandchildren and son. And to be honest if a man can cook and is quite happy to do so then I will let him be right as much as he likes…

I’m the same way you are and my husband is the ‘right’ one. I no longer question what he says, I just figure he must be right… ;)
