If you stop by after the 6th of Sept. and this
Entrecard widget isn’t on the sidebar when you see this which I know it will be gone in 24 hours I have decided to give them a link in this post to help. Can You Identify Me is a blog about people that go missing and they feature at least 1 person a month and give them a name and even write a story for them these people are “Missing Persons and Unidentified Remains.”
Who knows who might visit here and decide to check their blog out and maybe even find a missing relative or friend. This world is so strange and it’s a very small world actually that anything is possible and if I can help someone to find a source that could possibly find a loved one I would love to help. Too many people go missing and get disposed of and our families never know anything until someone gives a few clues.
How sad for those of us left behind to wonder where our child or a dear family member might be. I watch shows on television all the time that show different stories asking for any information about suspected kidnappers and killers and believe me if I could identify anyone I wouldn’t hesitate to act and turn them in and do you think I would hesitate even if it was someone I had grown to love?
Not in a heartbeat, I would turn them in so fast they wouldn’t know what hit them. Hopefully I would not be able to be deceived, but who knows what the mind and heart can convince us of. I always look at the photos they put on the bulletin board at Walmart and any other places that I go that display missing children and other people. I also watch those most wanted shows just to make sure none of the missing criminals live near me.
Bill and I use to check the Megan’s Law site for all the perverts that might live near us and our children and Grandchildren and we were totally shocked at all of the perverts that we knew or had known that had worked for Bill and we had thought some of them were okay people so that just goes to show how easily anyone can be deceived.
You can also check the most wanted pictures in Post Offices, you might be surprised who you know. I think the blog above could use some help so I am trying to help by posting this because like I said I don’t know who comes by here and I’m sure you don’t know everyone that might happen by your blog. I am not endorsing the other blogs this person is associated with, but what they are doing here I applaud them for.
Our York Fair starts this week and our area will be crazy because we live about 2 blocks from the fair ground. Normally Bill and I go over at least once just to remember the smells and the excitement of when we were young. We also like to eat the junk food. We like to eat at the stands from our area though because for some reason they just seem cleaner even though I know they all have to be inspected.
We have to have a parking permit in our area which is great because we know we will always have our parking space even though we could park in back where the garage is. At least in our neighborhood a bunch of stray cars will not be allowed. Many people take their vacation during this time especially if they have large yards so they can get the fair parking overflow.
They don’t seem to care if the yard gets messed up so long as they get their share of the money. A friend of mine always does this and she really makes a killing because she’s so close to the fair and she does watch the vehicles and does charge less than many and definitely less than it cost by parking in that mess at the fairgrounds and with the lineup of entertainers this year I’m sure she’ll do great again.
The York Fair is touted to be America’s first and oldest fair which you can read all about at the site above if you click on the our history link. It’s actually a very interesting read if you like history. The prices for entry are Adults: $6.00, Children (6-11): $3.00,Children 5 and under: Free, Parking: $6.00 Usually they have some admission special days which is cool because if your a senior or you have lots of kids that can cost a fortune.
We had a great weekend and even managed to ride the Harley when it wasn’t raining and I also practised on the Suzuki and managed to change a couple gears. I still need a lot of practise though especially with releasing the clutch smoothly and actually start moving, but I improved so I am proud of me and hopefully it will only get better.
I did cut my hair shorter so I feel much less like Bozo and Bill likes it. It is easier to maintain and looks better, actually any hair on the outside of your head is dead anyhow, but at least it looks like it is more alive now and it’s certainly easier to get a comb through. I need to make it whiter though to match my wrinkles. Thanks to everyone who left a comment over the weekend.
Hope everyone had a great and safe holiday. I was trying to get some work done this morning, but Bill just came home sick so my day will be slightly shorter than I had planned. If he is able to rest then I will be back to visit blogs and do some EC dropping. Oh.. well, I needed an excuse for an extra day off. I really need to learn to punctuate better.
