Hi Karen,
Nice to see you and I had a wonderful trip. Yes, I agree the here and now is where our energy should be focused, but as humans living in this reality we let the ego tell us we are something we are not and we all tend to exhibit a range of human emotions that we learn from. I actually know my truths of who I really am. Peace and Joy for you also Karen.

Dear Lea you are such a caring person. I journey back to the past every now and then, but I don't live there. When I look back at my life it's as though everything happened to a 3rd person. I try to live in the here and now because there is nothing anyone can change that is gone and this is the only moment in time that matters. Thanks for all your kind words of wisdom and I too wish for you always peace and an abundance of joy. I hope all is going well.

@ Theresa...Your so sweet and I forgave myself a long time ago for anything I might have felt guilt over and everyone else that I may have ever thought did something wrong to me. I wouldn't know Ethan right now if I hadn't kept my Eric. I don't regret or actually doubt my life at all. I have enjoyed every minute I have been privileged to live. Thanks so much for stopping.

@ Vixen... Thanks so much for stopping and I appreciate you leaving a comment. I am too empathetic and so I find it hard not to try and put myself in someone else's shoes and feel their pain, but with this one I had a problem because I just couldn't imagine what this woman must have and still is feeling, all I could think when I was holding Ethan was pain for that lady and how the light must have gone out of her heart.

What if questions are sort of a waste of energy since we can't change anything that's already happened and worrying about things that haven't happened isn't worthwhile either. Very sad about the woman who tripped and fell on the baby though--how very sad! Accidents happen but fortunately, your trip went well.

I too wish you peace and joy! Have a great day!

Jude dear friend, the past is just that... the past. What counts now is this moment. The person you are at this moment, the relationship that is growing stronger with your son and your grandson and so on.

As parents we often take on responsibility for things regarding our children even after their adults. Stop it! The bottom line is...you did the best you could do with what you had to work with at the time. And you did it with love for your son and yourself.

Mistakes? What are mistakes other than learning that there's better ways to do things, which is always learned after the fact. But those lessons can benefits others who now might find themselves in a similar situation. So stop questioning and doubting yourself. Just know that any one who might need guidance...you have it for them. Including your son and grandson.

I wish you peace and an abundance of joy.

Please, oh Pete, don't doubt yourself! You didn't cause your son to be sick (and it's good to see he's home now) and no, you haven't fallen on your grandson! That's not you, not at all. I don't know you other than what you put here on your blog, but I do know that you love and you love hard and fully and take it far more seriously than most can imagine. You're a good mom and grandmom!

Oh my, that poor woman. I can't even imagine.

Glad you enjoyed your visit and your what-ifs. Very glad you didn't fall while holding the baby.
