Oh Jude, I am so sorry for your loss. You have experienced every parent's fear, and for that I am deeply sorry. I lost my brother that was only 18 years old Oct 23 to a motorcycle accident. I understand the grief you are feeling. Things happened at my brothers funeral that was very upsetting to me but I took a moment and stepped back and realized alot of these people are as torn up as me and they aren't think with common sense at the moment. Jude, my heart goes out to you and your husband. As Matt said, funerals tend to bring the worst out in some people, but know that your son loved you and that whatever else, he will always be your boy.
