I took care of my dad for the last 3 months of his life. There was not a part of his body that I didn't see nor wash. I can't say which would be worse.

I would think being paralyzed would be worse too. It seems sometimes people can live with cancer and not even know it! It seems to be the treatment is what makes people feel sick and not the cancer itself. Plus everyone dies sometime and no one knows how long they have to live.

Being paralyzed though I think would be more difficult because it would be hard not being able to do things or needing help with everything and feeling like a burden to people. Although, either way, much depends on attitude. I think of Joni Erikson Tada who is a paraplegic and what a remarkable attitude she has.

Guess I don't want to have to choose either one.
