Here’s the problem — I couldn’t stand Bush, wasn’t thrilled with McCain and absolutely did not vote for Obama. Further, I’m amazed that Republicans are pushing for bailouts. It’s sickening.

But who knows. He is certainly the first president who looks black. Thing is he is about as white as I am being raised by a white mom and white grandparents. I don't think it's about the color of your skin. You could see it on the faces in the crowd yesterday - they do indeed think Obama is going to solve all their problems. No one man can do it. I also didn't vote for him,but wish him well and hope things turn around eventually. There is no quick fix - it took years for us to get where we are at and it will take time to reverse it, if it can be. Some days I just want to bury my head and return to the 50's. Just kidding because I know there were many problems then too, but the values seemed better then; people were willing to work hard and didn't have their hand out wanting everyone to help them.
