We're on the same page here. By the way, it sounds like you miss real conservatives in office as much as I do.

Here's the problem -- I couldn't stand Bush, wasn't thrilled with McCain and absolutely did not vote for Obama. Further, I'm amazed that Republicans are pushing for bailouts. It's sickening.

Unfortunately everyone expects President Obama to fix everything including climate change overnight, and they will be disappointed. To heck with the colour thing, I think he is a charismatic, intelligent, educated man who is giving the country what they need right now - hope!

I read that post too and was a bit skeptical. But who knows. He is certainly the first president who looks black. Thing is he is about as white as I am being raised by a white mom and white grandparents. I don't think it's about the color of your skin. On the other hand it is one more reason for a lot of people to quit complaining about the man.

Here, Here, good job. I am just wondering how much it would have cost if the money for these stupid bailouts would have been divided between all U.S. citizens 21 and over? Wonder how long it will be before we hear of voluntary wage cuts in the House and Senate? Hummm. What a concept.

I agree with you completely. You could see it on the faces in the crowd yesterday - they do indeed think Obama is going to solve all their problems. No one man can do it. I also didn't vote for him,but wish him well and hope things turn around eventually. There is no quick fix - it took years for us to get where we are at and it will take time to reverse it, if it can be. Some days I just want to bury my head and return to the 50's. Just kidding because I know there were many problems then too, but the values seemed better then; people were willing to work hard and didn't have their hand out wanting everyone to help them. These bailouts make me sick!
