I built my whole blog around that basic principle. I blog for fun, nothing else. Yeah, a few buck here and there is nice, but reading the comment from my visitors is the best part. Keep on blogging. This is one of my favorites.

I like your "drivel"--isn't that what we do this for? I get frustrated because I came to this as a writer and I find that people don't tune in for stories, just short quips. I'm discouraged when I don't get comments in return, because yes, I do read them and try to comment back. I get frustrated by EC because it encourages people to pop in and drop, but doesn't allow for commenting time. I wish they would change that.

Yeah, there are a lot of blogs out there that I visit once or twice, but those like yours, I keep coming back to see what's on your mind. So, I encourage you to keep posting. Yeah, we offend some, make some laugh, or maybe make someone think--but that's the beauty of this!

Wow, you sound really depressed today. That's understandable. Blogging is a funny thing, it seems to metamorphose (?) as it develops. I guess it becomes what we need it to be. Hang in there.

Actually, what I like about your posts is that you are so open, free, and expressive in your writing. I wouldn't stop writing the way you do--your style is unique.

I really appreciate your thoughts about blogging. I guess I was questioning myself about why I would expect anyone to be interested in what I have to say since I am like so many others out there.

It's not "drivel" if it expresses how you are feeling or how you feel about a certain subject! When I write in my blog I do so for myself - not for an audience - because it's a release and a way to express what's going on in my mind at any given moment. If, by writing what I do, it causes people to think or they can relate to it and therefore add their 2 cents worth, then all the better.

In other words, you're just like the rest of us. Or many of us, at least. I think we all find comfort in writing down our thoughts and observations on our blogs, but we also find a lot of comfort in reading what others have to say, even if it is just releasing their own thoughts and ideas into the blogoshere. I enjoy that, so I enjoy reading others' posts.

By the way, I hope your world really is getting back to "normal" after the tough times you've had lately. Best wishes.

I don't feel this way when I visit your blog. That is what blogging is (or was) suppose to be all about to begin with. To write what we want to write, more or less like an online diary so to speak. If people don't like what you write, then they don't need to read it. I hear where you are coming from though, but today there are so many blogs out there, and it's like some of these bloggers are in some sort of a completion or something, it's crazy. I blog to write about what is going on with me and honestly to try to make a buck or two, but that isn't happening either, lol! Write what you feel like writing. You know some people would rather read a blog that has what you call drivel, then to read a blog that talks about anything and everything, but their true being, it's almost as if some of these bloggers are fake, and I would rather hear the real you, if that makes any sense or not, lol! I hope you have a wonderful Sunday.
