Hey, I just wanted to clear up over here, as opposed to the comments in my own blog, that I know you weren't talking about my blog in particular, and I get that you found the things funny. The comments, however, were going the pet peeve route, and the paid post comment in particular was what I was referring to. As I explained in response to the comment you left on my blog, I was already wound up by the "7 Bloggers Who Should Die" post that I read elsewhere so when the comments here started going that same route, as opposed to keeping it funny, I was reacting to that, not the original tone of your post.

Ugh. Okay, there I go being wordy again. I guess you can add the commenters who write essays to your next "crack me up" post, LOL.

<abbr><em>Staci’s last blog post..<a href="http://www.justbloggled.com/2009/01/my-cocker-spaniel-now-has-electrical.html" rel="nofollow">My Cocker Spaniel Now Has Electrical Plug-a-phobia</a></abbr></em>

Staci...The items in my list weren't really pet peeves just things I find funny. If anyone glances around my blog they would see a disclosure page :). I love reading animal blogs and baby blogs and love to read all about everyone's animals and babies.

I guess I need to check my blogger blog to make sure the comment part is okay. When I pull down the drop box, it does have a selection for URL, as well as Wordpress and other IDs. I usually just comment on Blogger blogs with my blogger ID. I don't usually think of linkbacks, just what I want to say. Of course, I'm usually half asleep when I do so because I do a lot of commenting at night, so maybe that explains it.

My pet peeve are the Today blogs. I can't tell you the number of times that I have written these long, thought out comments, only to hit submit on them and the comment just disappears without any indication that comment moderation has been enabled. I emailed a few people the first few times it happened, but now I just usually click out of those blogs without bothering.

As for the pet blogs, I write a lot about my pets. It's not a pet blog per se, and I don't do baby talk but sometimes my animals are all I can think to talk about that day. I see you mention your dog as well so do you just have a problem with the baby talk aspects or the minute by minute play of their lives? Just curious.

As for the commenter hating the paid posts blogs, I do paid posts myself, and I work really hard to make each one sound like a story. I always have interim, nonsponsored posts as well. I understand that there are a lot of bad sploggers out there where every single post is paid and poorly written. These are the ones where the posts are usually 3 sentence apiece, have a lot of "hubby" mentions, and don't have a good grasp of the English language. Please don't judge an entire group of bloggers who are just trying to make ends meet by the bad apples, especially as there are plenty of bad apples who don't do paid posts as well.

Sorry the comment is so long, but this is the second post that I have read today on this topic, and it's making me a little argumentative.

Well, you got me really worried about my blogspot blog. But I checked and the comment page does have a slot for name and url. And the comments do have links back to the commentors blogs. Phew - breathe again. I really enjoy reading your posts, and am going to give you an award when I get around to it. Now I guess you're going to say awards are another pet hate. Well, you don't have to acknowledge it unless you want to. But do come on over and leave me a comment, please.

Hey I was inspired by your post! I remembered reading about the "no follow" in blogger some time ago, which mine is. Being a newbie I had to search for the answer and removed it! Thank you :)
