Why in the world do I have this blog and why would I want someone to read my drivel = “talking nonsense and senselessly at times.” Sometimes I might have a word of wisdom, but not usually so maybe I am heading down that senile path and actually think I can write.
I know I can’t write and my poetry sucks even worse so why am I here and using Entrecard for traffic for this blog? I can’t really answer that unless I just want to torture people and see if they will read my drivel and respond and surprisingly many have, which I do thank-you for.
I have 2 other blogs which I’m not posting for right now because my world kind of closed in on me for awhile so for right now I’m just trying to get back to my normal with this one which isn’t to say would be the world’s normal, just the way I know and see it.
I am not a very ambitious person for the one commenter on my last post and I don’t do mailing lists. I wouldn’t know what to do with a list and I would certainly hate to push promotions down someones throat all the time, people get so tired of that and end up opting out.
I really don’t expect anyone to take any action and do anything here other than maybe take the time and scan a post and if they have something to add to please do so. I don’t always respond to a comment because usually they don’t require one unless they specifically ask a question.
I am a Cosmetologist by profession and I have a beauty blog, but I have gotten so behind in answering the comments about reciprocity because they keep asking the same things over and over instead of searching for an answer they may have been given already on the site, it gets boring.
This blog is basically to unwind and do and say what I please when I feel like it and do and say whatever I want without hurting anyone’s feelings of course, but you can’t please everyone. My opinions aren’t really hardcore unless it has to do with spirituality and I’ve been known to change my mind easily if something else makes better sense to me.
That doesn’t mean I am wishy washy, it simply means I can see when I’ve made a wrong choice because I try to look at the whole picture and I’m not so stubborn that I can’t see when I’m wrong and I will apologise if I’ve wronged someone. I really appreciate all the nice people I have met online and I really thank-you for reading my drivel.
I like so many others looking to draw more visitors to their blog signed up for Adgitize. I have been with them for 3 months and 2 of those I have been an advertiser at 14 dollars a month. I think after this month I will have to re-think the whole thing. I think I appreciate the traffic I get from Entrecard for free because I’ve met so many really nice people through them and most of those are the ones using Adgitize now to get more visitors, but are you or is it the same?
Although many people say that they have made lots of money through Adgitize I certainly have not. After 3 months I’m not even up to 10 dollars and that includes extra points for writing my posts, I have never been great at marketing, but I do try sometimes, but I’m not great at selling things. The only thing I was ever able to sell without opening my mouth was booze when I tended bar too bad everything isn’t that easy.
I keep reading about how great Adgitize is, but I haven’t decided that for myself yet. Half the time it doesn’t even work. I guess some people are just better at pushing a program, but even if someone signs up under you the pay out is only a one time 5 dollar finder fee then 1 dollar a month as long as they remain an advertiser. I have noticed that some people that had it on their blog have now removed it. Have any of you that use it had problems?
Update: I just read this on the Adgitize site:
“It seems that our database server is down currently. We’re doing everything in our power to move it along, unfortunately we don’t have much power over these things. We were assured it will be back up soon, admittedly we were hoping it would be up by now. Once everything is back up all current advertisers will receive a one week extension on their ad to make up for the lost time. Thank you for your continued patience and I am sincerely sorry for the inconvenience!”
At first I had thought they didn’t like my post above because I was questioning the validity of the program, but then I saw they were down on everyone’s blog and then I didn’t feel so bad. At first I thought they had deleted me because I couldn’t log in. I had read on the Entrecard forum that someone had written a post and was censored and had their ad removed, which I thought was bad since they had been approved for their content beforehand…. Okay enough from me…Goodnight!
This was a very frustrating morning with my web host. My sites and blogs have been down for 4 hours and I just spoke with live chat support for Bluehost and the final reply was:

jude [8:16:57 AM]: It’s been 4 hours now, how much longer?
[8:17:44 AM]: Any idea when this issue will be resolved?
Mike [8:18:09 AM]: We had a cooling outage for a little while and deeply apologize for the inconvenience as we had to shut some servers down to protect our hardware and your data. Our repairman was able to find the parts we need and we’re told by the admins that the cooling is now back on. After that we’d just be waiting for the servers to come up after the room has cooled off enough to turn them back on safely.
We appreciate your continued patience. I apologize that we are too swamped for me to speak to you individually at this time. Once things calm down we’ll resume normal support service. I’ve only seen this happen once in my many years here and no it should not continue to be a problem.
Finally back up….I have had down time with them before, but nothing of this magnitude and from Mike’s reply apparently he’s only seen this once before. At any rate I would like to apologize to those bloggers that were unable to reach my blog and I certainly hope there will be no other outages. I know these problems happen from time to time, but 4 hours is ridiculous. Have a great day, I have to go check on Shadow he’s very restless today.
I am so ready for nice weather so we can get the bike out. I’ve noticed a lot of photo’s on some of the blogs I visit of all the snow that they have received. We’ve been very lucky so far in that respect, but it’s been colder than a witches tit. Can someone explain that phrase to me? I have never understood what that meant, but I hear it all the time and have even said it myself a time or two….Never mind I just did a search for the term and found out a heck of a lot more than I knew before.
At any rate the temperature has been horrid and our water pipe froze up, but Bill took the hairdryer down and warmed it up and now we let the cold water run a smidgen in the bathroom and that does the trick for now. I pity those poor people on the street in this horrible weather. It seems people all over are having problems with pipes and furnaces, even Bill’s Son. His furnace went out the other night and Chris had to wrap up the kids and take them to Grandma’s till it got fixed the next day.
This is definitely soup and cuddling weather I wish I had a fireplace then it would be romantic just sitting with music playing and watching the flames dance around that is if I wasn’t still sick. I was all snug in the bed the other night sound asleep when I heard heavy breathing in my ear which made me start to get all tingly until I realized Bill wasn’t even in the bed. Since my ears are all stopped up my own breathing was in my head and woke me up, now that’s weird.
It’s hard to feel romantic when you feel like crap or at least it is for me. I’m not sure how men are when they feel sick, but I have a feeling that they aren’t quite the same as us. I need to see some sun and feel warm weather because this Winter has been one of the most depressing in my life. I’m hoping my Shadow will be able to walk before long or at least make an effort. I need to find some kind of device to get him up on his paws that will hold him up so he can exercise some.

I’m sure the blogosphere will be overloaded with the great historical inauguration of the 44th president and how important this moment was for the world, swearing in the first black president or at least one with dark skin, but if you read The Matthias Chronicles you would have read this post Obama: Not the first black president, by Mar Matthias Darin.
Are you telling me Obama is the 6th black president? I am not a history buff so I certainly had never heard any of this myself, but I found it very interesting reading and something I will probably follow up on. Does it really matter what color a man’s skin is so long as he is qualified to do a job? I didn’t vote for the new president, but it wasn’t due to color. I know he is an educated man, but I didn’t think he was right for the job, but only time will tell.
I’m glad Bush is out of office, I’m sure he loves his country and did his best, but he was never my choice to start with. One Bush was one too many. I wish the best for the new President and his family, but more than that I wish the best for my country and hope we can get out of our downward spiral. I do not see Obama as a saint that is going to save the world and I certainly don’t expect him to perform miracles, he does not walk on water.
I am so sick of hearing about bailouts for companies that have foolishly wasted money. According to the paper even Harley Davidson is now thinking about asking for a bailout, this is getting ridiculous. People are indeed expecting miracles, you can see it in their faces and I’m afraid these people are going to be let down because they are expecting too much too soon and it’s not going to happen over night.
I would love to see a perfect world, but I know it will never happen and the color of a man’s skin will not make it happen either. I hope this man is a good politician that can make sound decisions for the good of all people and hopefully he has surrounded himself with a capable cabinet, history in the making, we will look back in 4 years and see how far we have come. Hopefully the right choice was made.
