I don't have any grandchildren, but mom has a GG grandson that we got to see when we went back to Ohio for dad's funeral in Nov. Mom was soooo happy to be able to see him for the first time in 4 yrs. Smother him in Kisses and Hugs and Play hard with him so he will remember you. Send him some "little ppl" books for BDays and Christmas with a little message signed by you. That will help imprint. First I'm glad you finally get to see your grandson; I'm sure it's been difficult losing your son and feeling the separation from Ethan too at the same time. Everyone handles grief differently, and it could be that she's been dealing with her own issues and it was just too painful for her to see you until now. I'm not making excuses for her; just offering something for you to consider. Take care I don’t know your situation or your relationship with your daughter in law.
