Weird Things Happen When Dropping Ec’s

I know a lot of you don’t know what Entrecard is so just ignore this post, but for those that do use Entrecard I tried dropping the other night and most of what I got you can see from the screen captures below, I kept getting 403 forbidden. I certainly couldn’t figure it out and finally just quit and even skipped Sunday. I dropped Monday and everything was fine again….Strange.

I really like Entrecard, but sometimes the weirdest things happen when I’m dropping, like virus alerts pop up or they have weird pop-ups that cover the whole blog which I totally ignore and go to another blog. Usually the bottom will be covered with a gray bar that says sponsored by something or the other and since I don’t appreciate that type of thing I don’t give them my credit, sorry.

I hear people  complaining all the time that someone wants to advertise on their site and hasn’t even dropped on them. That doesn’t bother me in the least if they want to advertise without viewing my blog, dang I’ll take their credits all day and then it doesn’t bother me in the least if no one drops on them. I have another blog that I haven’t dropped from in a long time and plan on removing it actually.

I left a note on my profile telling people I wasn’t dropping and people still want to advertise that don’t even check my profile so I let them give me their ec’s. I like Entrecard and really appreciate the traffic and have made a few friends which I also appreciate. It has really helped my Alexa rank which doesn’t really matter to anyone but me, at any rate happy weird dropping.

Doesn’t bother me a bit either if people want to advertise on my blog that don’t drop on me. I’m with you on those pop-up ads–hate them.

Dumped all my temporal files and stuff and everything was normal again.

I noticed that exact same thing recently. Except it wasn’t every site I tried to drop on, it was a few here and there. It was really irritating but I kept at it anyhow. I also ran into one particular site that froze my computer twice… Needless to say I won’t be dropping on them again :P

I have that problem last Saturday and I cannot figured out. I stop my dropping and i noticed only blogger flat form but the wordpress and other site will not do like that it was not error. Also I notice one of the sites that I drop have a pop up for sex site oh no I scared me because i do not wnat my computer to have that. After few drop that day I scan my computer through norton 360 and run it for almost one hour and oh boy there are many stuff that deleted. ALmost 200 sites deleted to protect my computer. I cant undersatnd why some sites have those bad pop-ups. Hmmm

I’ve had weird experiences with Entrecard as well. I think the worst is when I picked up a Trojan from West of Mars! That was not fun! But like you, I think it’s a great service and interesting economy.

If they want to give me EC, I’m all for it as long as it’s a “respectable” site. Hate pop-ups, pop-unders, all the other junk too.

Haven’t had too much trouble since I got my new computer, but have run into it once or twice. I get a lot that won’t load. I’ll try reload once and if that doesn’t help, I move on.

I like EC but have recently started having trouble and posted about it on the forum, someone thought it was firrefox, throuble is switching to Int. Expl keeps one from being able to use the toolbar with I like. So, it’s off and on.

I recently deleted my cookies and temp files and defragged and things were working really well, but a wk later I find I’m getting hung up on some sites that won’t load. Don’t know what stuff they have that causes it, and sometimes I get error message like invalid on someone’s widget, or no such person. Then later it will work???

I’m not techy enough to understand whats going on.

oh I know what you mean. I get weird things happening to me too when I drop. Lots of virus warnings and popups that are irritating. I don’t really reject ads and I don’t drop on all the ads I advertise on. I return drops, then I buy ads. I think it just takes too long the other way. But if you drop on me I always return the drops.

Yep, I’m with everyone else. I get lots of weird stuff going on too. I’m afraid of trojans and stuff going to all of those blogs, but I’m afraid I’ll miss something good along the way. It’s a catch 22!!
