Just Started Using Blog Explosion

Posted by: jude   in Mature Not Senile Misc

I joined Blog Explosion last week and it took a week to be approved, but I tried it today and saw that a lot of Entrecard blogs were already using it which is cool because I can kill 2 birds with one stone. I always hated that expression because I would never want to kill any birds, but it does get the point across about accomplishing 2 things at the same time.

I don’t know how effective this traffic exchange is, but I noticed a lot of Today blogs on there as well so many are also using them to help their visitor count. They have options to block mature content amongst a few others. It has a timer of 30 seconds then you click on the correct number shown to view another blog. I found a lot of new blogs which were very interesting.

I did notice that if you have 2 tabs open in the same browser and you switch to the other tab the timer stops till you open it back up. That’s good because at least you know people have to view your blog for at least that long. Of course I’m sure some people have already found a way to get around that because some people like nothing better than thinking up ways to scam a system. You can also win mystery credits.

Hey, please keep us posted after you try Blog Explosion for awhile and tell us what you think. I’m afraid Entrecard is going to implode one of these days, so I’m always on the lookout for what else might be good!

Interesting info. I am always looking for ways to get visitors to stop and read. I will look into Blog Explosion. Working on two more different blogs.

This sounds interesting and I’m definitely going to check it out. I’m considering dropping EC, they’re having too many outages and other issues lately, not to mention I’d like to keep up with the Today.com bloggers who won’t be at EC much longer.

I have not tried Blog Explosion yet. I think the main reason is that it is mostly Entrecard members. If people are using Entrecard and Blog Explosion it would not help page views. It would help people on Today.com though. Well, that is until they say that is not allowed either. I think I will just be abandoning my Today blog. I never got around to adding a blog to my main domain so that would free up the time to.

I used BlogExplosion in the past, it was good for me. I’m wondering now though, do you know if site visit and page view counts are accurate? I’m scared because they hide your actual URL… and oh yeah, that’s one thing I didn’t like about the service, you have no idea what the URL is of the blog you’re reading. :(

By the way, what browser are you using? I’m using Firefox and BE’s counter doesn’t stop even if I switch tabs.

I’m using FFox, but maybe something is wrong with my computer and it doesn’t work right and I haven’t been able to explore much yet so I don’t know if the page view and page counts are accurate or not. I’m finding a lot of new sites though which I can hold down the ctrl button and click on the title and it opens in another tab so I can see the blog address. I’ll decide in a few weeks about how it actually works for me.

I have been on Blog Explosion for several months. It took a MONTH for them to approve me, I had given up, and then it came through. I found that sites took very long to load, longer than the counter sometimes, the only game I enjoyed was Blog Rocket, and I’ve pretty much stopped using it. I’m trying out the similar, but very new Traffic Exchange Business. You can see a blog post I wrote about it at http://justthrowmoney.blogspot.com/2009/03/trying-out-traffic-exchange-business.html
Any of those sites are kind of addictive, but they take a lot of time!

Welcome to BE!!! Can’t wait to do battle on BOB. Try it if you haven’t already. If you want to view another screen and continue the counter, open another window. Usually works. :)

This sounds very interesting. I’m always looking for more ways to increase my traffic. I was getting lots of hits before Christmas, but I started slacking on my blog the last couple of months. Totally my fault but back in full swing working on it again. I would love to get back to those higher page views.

Thank you for this. I was just thinking about joining up.
I think I just give it a try. Even if it is like most entrecard traffic; come and go without looking/reading/or commenting. Still, you just need a few percent to hang on and become regular readers…
