Your widget is what brought me to your blog because I identify - I'm mature, not senile, too. I've gone out of my way to make sure that my widgets not only reflect what my blog is about, but what it looks like. I hate it when I click on a widget and it has nothing to do with the blog to which it leads.

Your widget should match what your blog is about. I get annoyed when I see widgets that are disconnected from the content of the blog. It's like tricking people and pulling a bait-and-switch tactic. After that, I don't care what they have to say.

My widget has one of my handbags on it, because my blog is about making handbags and other crafts.

Your widget is also well suited to your blog's content.

I also think your widget is a good representation of your blog. It stands out. There are more than a few widgets of scantily clad women. While that might get some people's attention, it does little to differentiate.

If anything, I'd think about changing the layout of the blog. If you look at my widget, I've tried to set it up so it matches the layout of my blog. The font type and color are the same on my widget as on the title of by blog. I have the same shade of red on the sides of my widget as I do on my blog.

I even try to get other sites, like Twitter and so one to match this look and feel, and I've made business cards with the same look and feel.

It is part of my personal brand. You might think about how you further your personal brand.

Great post.

I feel that your widget is appropriate. With the wordings 'Mature Not Senile,' I can identify it with someone who will not sit down, or will not resign to fate and would not stop trying new things just because of age.

I love your widget. Mine I hope shows that I'm a book blogger and cat lover. My entire site is cat and book themed.

I also like your widget, it's original. Mine is a headshot from my bio page with words on it that I've come to hate as they don't describe my blog. Working on something different, maybe a sexy woman:)

Oh, don't change your widget now! I identify you with that picture. It's funny because Chuck just made me a widget/button and he questioned my little statue and why I use it to represent Duck and Wheel. Why no duck? he asks. Because that's what I chose, and now that's my identity. I don't want to change it this far into the game, AND I like it. I won't post about the EC thing and give them the free advertising. Did you see my solution today? I'm posting a pally's button right next to the EC one so you can still drop and click--knowing you aren't supporting the paid ads.

I don't mind the images of the widgets not being related to the blogs; however, I'd like to click on images that get my attention. They don't need to be in a certain way. I guess what I meant was the images speak to me. I know I don't click on certain images because they don't speak to me, like my own widget.

I really like your widget! It shows your personality and it's fun. I've wanted to add words to my widget, but don't have the write program to make it look decent I guess!
