I was trying to snap scenery, wasn't sure I had gotten them, but Bill said they were waving as we went past of course as fast as Bill was going I couldn't get one of that, but they apparently were smiling for the camera if they even knew what it was and I'm sure they did. As a rule they will let you photograph their farms if you're a tourist and ask nicely, but they wont really pose for ya, some will. I guess it depends where they live. I was more interested in the buggies and horses. I see the Amish all the time, but I always get a thrill when I see the horses.

I'm always at pause to photograph the Amish--I think it bothers them, so I don't do it. Last year we went for a drive (on a Sunday) and there were about a hundred wagons and families out for a ride--OOOOh, I wanted to snap those photos!! But I didn't. I just have the memory instead.
