As you Know A death of a Love one is so hard on us. I am on vacation in the west so Did not see the MJ Service. I really feel for the children left behind. they have a long life ahead of them and I pray their fathers death will not effect them in a negative way. i think about Elvis daughter and see how she has developed into a great Adult. Hoping the same for MJ children.

I've never been "crazy" over any musicians. I've bought less than 20 CDs in my whole life. Nysnc, Backstreet boys, Destinys Child, Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, BeWitched, and Now 10. Yup I remember each one I bought.

When Paris gave her speech in front of thousands that day I think she really put MJ in perspective for me and for millions of others. He was a talented musician, an icon, the King of Pop. But to Paris he was her dad. I'm ashamed to say that I had forgotten about that part.

Tellie’s last blog post..How to be a horrible roommmate

I agree all people are important and their death hurts their friends and family. I did not like MJ or his music and am dismayed by the number of people forgetting that he really wasn't a good person, not a nice man. I'm applaud by his actions, and even more that he got away with them. I did not watch, but from what I've seen and read here on the net etc, he was given was too much attention in both life and death. He wasn't the President, he didn't cure cancer, he didn't built hospital or schools to help those in need, and he wasn't Paul Newman. Paul Newman was famous, but lead a quiet life; a family life and did lots of good with the money he made, starting so many companies that donate huge huge sums of money to help children everywhere attend camps. I do feel badly for his children; but think the media must have forgotten that there were other things going on in the world people would like to have known about.

I also feel for the people in the city where the funeral took place, the huge cost to them in paying for security, seems inappropriate they have to pay that with tax dollars, when he himself avoided paying his taxes...something wrong with that picture for sure.

TGIF, have a good one Jud
