I always seem to have something to amuse me when I go out on the balcony and I thought I would share that source of amusement today. Remember I wrote about the ducks next door and posted a few photo’s? She fixed up a place for them in her back yard at the far end right behind our garage using a dog kennel and a tarp so they would have an area to move around. I hadn’t smelled anything before this, but after she did that talk about stinking, God it was awful.

She must have realized her mistake and the foul odors that some other neighbors may have complained of and took it down. Myself not being one of them because a couple years ago I had a few words to let loose about the neglect her dog received which really irked me. Since then I try to keep my mouth shut about all these other creatures she some how tends to amass since I can’t hear them except the ducks raising a racket at each other when the small dark one decides to fly across the fence into someone else’s yard.

Since then the ducks just wander all over her yard and they even have a pet of their own, which is a rabbit that likes to play and sleep with them or near by. When it gets ticked off at them he goes into the yard on the other side, photo’s posted below. (The rabbit is under the seat with the ducks and the other one he decided he needed space for awhile.)  The rabbit sometimes comes over to my side and sits under the bush. When I see a wild critter that doesn’t run when I go outside it bothers me.

My first thought is rabies or it’s been hurt, this one will just sit there and watch me and it’s spooky sometimes. I made the mistake of letting Sadie out last night without checking to see if the silly rabbit was on my side and Sadie almost had him in her mouth God only knows what would have happened if I hadn’t hollered and she paused long enough for the rabbit to get away. I certainly hope that duck doesn’t fly into my yard while Sadie is out because she will grab him if he isn’t fast enough to get away.

You will really be in trouble if Sadie catches the rabbit. What an interesting neighbour you have.

My dog goes nuts if she sees a rabbit or squirrel–she just loves chasing after them. Glad I don’t have a rabbit living next door!

That’s funny, the ducks adopting a bunny.
