We have no need for them any longer as we did decades ago. Employees are quite aware of their rights these days. Even if they aren't there is a lawyer's commercial on tv every 10 minutes to remind them. Witness the auto industry. As far as I’m concerned unions should have been obsolete about 40 years ago.
