ResV Radiance/Anti Aging/Delusional Or Real?

Posted by: jude   in Senior Health

Much is being said about Resveratrol which is an ingredient in red wine that helps  reduce the “bad” cholesterol, helps prevent blood clots, and damage to blood vessels. Mostly the research has been done on animals with this product and not people from what I understand. As shown in the video the research in mice that were given the Resveratrol have indicated that the antioxidant might also help protect them from diabetes and obesity and both have been proven as strong risk factors in heart disease. Could this be the breakthrough supplement everyone’s  been waiting for?

Can we re-set our biological clock? Is a molecule from red wine the answer? I’m basically a very skeptical person and besides I don’t know anyone personally that has ever used ResV Radiance. Apparently this has gotten a lot of attention on television and magazines and a lot of research is being done. The Mayo Clinic has this to say about Red wine and Resveratrol: Good for your heart? Looking good or better would be great especially as I age, but I’m more concerned with the health benefits that I might be able to take advantage of for my heart since heart disease runs in my family if it works , but like I said I don’t know anyone that has used it.

Warning: The American Heart Association and the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute do not recommend that you start drinking alcohol just to prevent heart disease. Alcohol can be addictive and is associated with other health issues. It’s recommended that if you do drink it should be no more than 2 drinks a day if that much. The research is continuing  into the potential heart-health benefits of Resveratrol. There are some reports of diarrhea or stomach upset in some that took this supplement, but  there weren’t many other known side effects to be reported unlike some of those commercials on television that crack Bill up.

When I took French in college years ago our professor had lived and taught in France. We discussed their health versus ours in this country.

Particularly relating to wine. They serve wine to their children. It is as common for them as ice tea is here in the southern states.

She too was very impressed with their health in comparison to ours as far as the heart goes.

But, she also noted and reminded us that even though they have fewer heart related problems than us;they do have a high amount of illnesses related to their liver.

This is a wonderful and informative post. Thanks for sharing!

I’ve always liked the description in Doctor Rat of the elephants gathering in the plum groves to eat and stand around and let the fruit ferment in their guts to make them young and randy again.

I figure that everyone is destined to live in this Punch and Judy show until retired to the bin of spare parts.

I’m working on a patent for Super Strength Enditol which isn’t nearly as toxic to your innards as Tylenol, a proven killer of people on diabetes medication.

I watched ET, but I’ve never read DR Rat. I must have lost something there, you’re working on a patent for a metal group or is that a drug named after them? I use Tylenol guess it’s a good thing I don’t have diabetes.

So…putting red food coloring in my white wine isn’t going to get the job done? Dang…now they tell me. lol

I drink white as what I call drinking wine. I drink red usually with meals.

The French live longer than we do, are less obese, and drink lots of red wine…thats good enough for me.

I agree about a healthy food, medication and good attitude, but a great ingredient in a better quality of life is exercise. I’ve found a great routines designed for Senior citizens and I have more energy and better way to face life challenges. I want to share them with you. http://www.tonysnobaloneyfitness.com

Resveratrol, like other antioxidants – protects your arteries against the damage of oxygen free radicals. It helps to prevent hardening of your arteries.

Resveratrol also keeps your blood platelets from clumping together. In other words it guards you from heart attack or stroke.

For those who suffer from high blood pressure (as I did), a daily dose of resveratrol is helps reduce blood pressure and keep it in safe levels.
