Does Project Wonderful Work For You?

Posted by: jude   in Marketing Online

I’m running Project Wonderful ads and will do so for at least 6 months to see if they will perform as a publisher to make money to advertise. This is something new to me even though I know it’s been out there for awhile. It seems a lot of Entrecard people use it more than anyone else other than comic sites. However it would be better if I was selling something it would be a very cheap way to get exposure and I might see a return when and if I become an advertiser..

I have been trying to make money online for many years and yes I have made some, but not what I had envisioned. My advertising budget doesn’t go very far and I’m all for saving money when I can and will even be checking into refurbished telephone systems for my office soon since I need another one so any extra money I make online helps. I’m not sure about the space PW takes up if it’s only going to bring in pennies.

I’ve been running it for 5 days and think I made 10 cents, I really don’t like that aspect of making so little for my ad spots, but I do realize people aren’t big ad clickers unless it has to do with their Google ads and then they form groups to click on each others ads. I like this because people pay for time and not CPM or CPC rates so there is no click fraud. I like that they are paying for time on my blog and not clicks. I am always on my blog checking things so it’s nice these people aren’t paying for my page hits.

There is really no incentive for anyone to click those ads unless it’s something that interests them because I get nothing for any clicks nor does anyone else so knowing they are bidding for time on those spots makes it okay. I’m not sure if I should drop it to 2 spots or leave it at 4 for now. I guess I’ll try experimenting with it next week and see what happens. Well, it’s something different to play with for a few months and see what happens. If you have experience with Project Wonderful I’d appreciate your input.

I never used Project Wonderful. However based on what I had seen of other people using it, it just didn’t seem to be worthwhile.

On my survey of blog advertising most people did not use Project Wonderful and a fair amount had used it and had stopped.

Personally, I’ve found Adgitize the be the best network for both bringing in traffic as well as bringing in readers. CMF Ads does quite well too, but I’m not likely to try Project Wonderful

Stop by my blog to read more of my posts on this, EntreCard and perhaps even fill out my survey.

Thanks Aldon I’m afraid it’s not going to be so great either, but I’m gonna stick it out for awhile and hope the bidding goes up. I advertised for 2 months with adgirize and got traffic, but with my other expenses I can’t afford an extra 14 or 15 a month I need to make some instead of spending so much.

I’ve been with them as a publisher for around 6 months now, and I have made $5.89 so far. Hey, it’s not much, but it is money for nothing since you do not have to do anything but host the widget.

I have been using Project Wonderful for the last 14 months. I have earned $53 plus in that time and that would have been more, had I not placed my ads on other people’s blogs using some of my earnings. It is slow to start, but I earned $30 of it in just the last 6 months. I’ve never used Adgitize, but I’ve not had any issues with PW either.

I run one 125×125 ad with a minimum bid of .20 and one skyscraper ad with a .40 minimum bid. I have earned well over $150 from PW to date.

Haven’t tried PW yet, I have been running adgetize which hasn’t earned me a thing. I am thinking of trying PW so I’m curious to read your responses.

I run PW widget on some of my blogs. Income are terrible but I have no worry of the click fraud. I take time but payment from PW is also guaranteed.

I was not doing bad with PW until I went offline for a month when I moved house. My traffic went right down and my adspaces were discontinued. When I got them started again it was even slower than it had been right at the beginning. And bidding prices are still very low, but I do have over $12 with them and I hope it will pick up again. It seems to depend very much on traffic.

I’ve used PW for about 8 months. I make a few cents a day with it–about the same as Adgitize and CMF. I’m mystified as to how people make the kind of money they do with any of these programs.

I used PW for just a few weeks. I have a few advertisers that buy from me directly, so when their ads were a few weeks away from expiring removed PW. I didn’t want them to switch to cheap PW ads on my site instead of paying me directly. During that short time I made very little, and it seemed that I was on track to make in a year what I get from an advertiser in one month when selling directly.
Even the stingiest of potential advertisers have offered me way more than the PW rates.

In fairness to PW, the ads that appeared on my site didn’t seem to be a great fit for my site. Some sites definitely seem to have content that is better suited to the bulk of PW advertisers than others. Hope that helps.

I am so glad you stopped over. I have been thinking about PW too. I may add one slot. I just don’t know.

I hated the thought of running any ads on my site ever. But, my camera equipment and the $80 a month to have internet access is killing us.

So I am trying everything I can think of to even make a few cents!!

I hope you are doing well. thanks for the comment about my grandson. He is the baby and the last time I held him was over a year ago. I miss them all so very much!!
Have a great day Jude!

I tried them out for many months and just about hit the $10 payout but dumped them anyway. If you are willing to put tons of them at the top of your site and make them the focal point, you might make money. I think they look horrible so I will not do that. I have never been paid so little for ad space and found it insulting.

PW is a slow earner for me but hey, they paid me after a day. I’m going to try to “optimzie” it somehow to increase my earnings. But right now, I’m happy about it but not stunned if you know what I mean.

PW is a slow earner for me, but better than no earner at all.
At least it is all about the views and you can easily manage that. Like you wrote that most of your traffic comes from Entrecard. Try dropping 300 a day for a week or so, and you will see traffic shooting up. All useless Entrecard traffic, since Entrecard is bringing in 0 bucks, but they all count as viewers and your PW price will go up.
