I used to be involved in hiring, and I was surprised at all the bizarre things people would put on applications. Actually, the funniest ones that I used to get were from students at the Ivy League College near us who suddenly wanted to work to earn money for something that their parents wouldn't buy them (even though they had never worked before.) Under work experience they would list something like "spent a semester in Paris where I experienced the French culture and attended classes" Awesome if I was hiring in the international department, but very funny and irrelevant when they were applying as part timers in shipping and receiving!
