Color is used by advertisers to tempt and trigger our impulses black, blue, red and orange attract impulsive buyers. They say smart shoppers are attracted to pink, light blue and navy blue colors and advertisers spend lots of money for this information in order to plan their strategies of what to sell to whom.
I’m sure you’ve noticed that advertisements for children have bright and vibrant colors. Green, red, and blue which are the primary colors, but they also combine to make the glorious yellow which attract children and that’s why parents buy those colors for their kids. These colors represent warmth, sweetness, trust, reliability, playfulness and security.
We know how color makes us feel at home and it really can affect our behavior and even some prisons have experimented with color to calm the inmates.
The experts can predict certain things and make a hypothesis because of trends they have seen and been a part of and have studied human nature and know which color triggers which responses, do you know those colors and what they represent? I would say they aren’t always correct, but they’ve gotten pretty accurate at times.
I am going to list some of these colors now :
- Black stands for elegance, sophistication, seduction and mystery.
- White stands for peace, pure, clean, mild and youthful.
- Gold stands for prestige, luxury and elite.
- Silver stands for prestige, scientific and cold.
- Yellow stands for warmth, happiness and cheer.
- Orange stands for warmth, playfulness, and vibrant.
- Red stands for love, excitement, strength, passion, and danger.
- Pink stands for nurture, sweet, soft, and security.
- Green stands for nature, fresh, fertility and abundance.
- Blue stands for cool, trust, belonging and reliability and has a relaxing effect.
- Purple stands for spiritual, royalty, and dignity.
