Glad to hear folks till hang on to traditions, but it’s a shame that your neighborhood is dark this time of year. We’ve got lights up all over the place in my neighborhood and that’s how it ought to be.

We still have a lot of decorated houses in the neighborhood, but what made me feel the Christmas spirit was hearing from the dad across the street that his son (I think he’s 3 or 4) just loves to sit at the window and look at our lights. He said they’re “bootiful”!

Jude, I wish for you more of that feeling of peace and just enjoy the quiet moments with your love this Christmas. That’s what we’re going to do.

My dad’s health is very poor just now and my mom didn’t want to bother with decorating for christmas. My sister and I went over and put her tree up & decorated a little. It did brighten them both up a little bit.

A wonderful story. That even cheers me up a bit, even though I’m already fine. My neighborhood has absolutely no Christmas lights this year. It’s a shame.

We could all use a little bit of this little old ladys spirit I think. I’ve noticed that the last few years in my neighborhood, less and less people are putting up lights. It used to be that the whole street was glowing with Christmas spirit.
