Bill had quite a shock last night to say the least when he was talking to the oldest Grandson, Nate after he and Mom had gone to visit the newest edition to the family. He was telling Pappy that they were on their way home after meeting Diesel. Of course I’m not sure how they are going to spell that, but Pappy thought it was a big joke and told Nate to put his Mommy on.
Jodi confirmed that was the name they had decided on, Diesel William. Of course Bill isn’t going to believe that til he hears it from them directly. They had talked about naming him Blade before and Bill blew up over that one, but I’m thinking Blade sounds better than Diesel which knowing how they pick names will probably be spelled with a z Diezel, but we aren’t sure yet.
Well, so long as the little guy is okay I guess we can figure out something to call him besides that. There was a strep infection(GBS) in the birth canal and they delayed the birth for 3 and a half hours while they pumped penicillin through her body and to make sure the baby had the antibiotic in his blood stream. I have no clue why they didn’t just perform a C section so there would be no chance of him getting something.
They now have to watch him closely for a month to make sure he is going to be okay. I looked GBS -group B strep up online and found a lot of disturbing information. Hopefully the little guy with this weird name will be okay. I still can’t believe a parent would actually stick a name like that on a little baby, I’m really hoping it’s a big joke and the birth certificate will have Bill and his son’s name registered there with a 4th after it.
