I received an e-mail last week from Karen author of “My Funny Dad, Harry” and she informed me that I had won a secret commenter contest she had been running on her blog. It’s always nice to be a winner especially when you don’t know you are even in the running for anything. I received the book yesterday, but I haven’t had the time to read it yet and it may be awhile before I get around to it, but it’s on my to do list, there was even a nice book marker enclosed. I will also give a short review after I read it.

I enjoy reading about her Dad when I stop by the blog she devotes to Harry and have often gotten a chuckle or two from some of his antics that she shares. It’s really nice that she has so many warm and loving memories about her Mother and Father and the life they all shared together. I would love to have a lot of good memories from my childhood to share, but I don’t. Sometimes I regret not having a normal life, but not often because I’ve experienced many things that “normal” people would have missed.

That was only one nice surprise, I also received 13 dollars to my PayPal account from the Chitika ad program on my other blog and also a 100 dollar payment from the Kontera program I used on a few websites. That one really surprised me because I had it installed on those websites for like 4 years and they’ve changed things so much that I was beginning to think they were a big rip off, but they have proved me wrong. I will probably never see another payment from them though because I dropped 3 websites.
