Orgreenic Ceramic Cookware
Orgreenic

As you can see we got our Orgreenic cookware yesterday and I was so excited because we ordered it online from the Orgreenic website on Feb. 11th and received it on the 18th, we were expecting it in 2 to 6 weeks, now that’s fast service. Originally we were only planning on getting the TV special the 9 inch pan with the free gifts thrown in which was advertised for 19.99 or something like that and with shipping it came to 29.99 or somewhere around those prices.

After looking at the ridiculous high prices for just 1 pan way over one hundred dollars and close to 200 for the grill, Bill decided to buy the whole 16 piece set for 300 dollars. He had 2 options, the easy pay where they spread out the payments or pay the whole thing and get free shipping and handling which he chose and there were no taxes unless they were built in. All of our pots and pans are Teflon and all are in bad shape so we needed new ones anyhow and the ceramic cookware is healthier.

Unwrapping My Orgreenic Ceramic Cookware
unwrapping-orgreenic-cookware

Obie and I tore into the box, but it was packed so well that it took me awhile to get all the pieces out which were also wrapped with tons of tissue paper which I had to dispose of promptly because he wanted to shred it for me. After I got everything unwrapped the first thing I was suppose to do was to season my new Orgreenic ceramic cookware. So I rubbed the green part down with a light coating of vegetable oil and set the pieces on top of the stove on medium heat and watched and waited for them to lightly smoke, which they never did even after 40 minutes.

Sometimes I’m not very bright, but I always try to follow directions because I figure they know more than me about their product and I certainly didn’t want to mess them up on the first day. I saw the oil was turning brown, but they still weren’t smoking so I said that’s enough and removed them from the stove top. You were suppose to wait till they were completely cool and then wipe out the excess vegetable oil. Well, guess what? the oil wouldn’t wipe out it was stuck on.

I worked and worked to remove those little beads of oil, I knew they would come out eventually and I felt like an idiot explaining all of this to Bill when he came home and started helping me unscrew-up his brand new healthier eating  ceramic cookware. We were both impressed with the quality, they’re very sturdy and I kept my eye on that grill because I had my plans for it later. The first thing Bill did was to test and see if  it would fry an egg with no grease, it didn’t it got stuck.

The stuck on egg came out so easy that we were totally happy anyhow and I’m sure with more practice using the Orgreenic we’ll find easier ways to cook and figure out exactly what it can do. It’s suppose to have a lifetime guarantee so I’m quite sure we will be keeping it, that’s why I gleefully started pulling out all the old Teflon and stainless steel including lids and throwing them away. Of course we couldn’t part with our cast iron skillets because they’re great for baking cornbread.

Grilling Steaks
orgreenic-grilled-steaks

I couldn’t wait to try out the grill and I totally loved it and since I love steak that’s what I chose to try first. They grilled exactly the way I wanted them, but after looking at that grill I thought that is going to be a mess to clean so I decided to tackle it after we ate. The steaks were delicious by the way and there was very little smoke, I was happy not to hear smoke alarms which usually happens when I heat up other skillets.

Messy Grill
easy-cleanup-mess-orgreenic

I grabbed a paper towel to remove the excess grease and debris from the grill thinking I would probably have to soak it over night, but to my amazement it wiped right off and I only needed to wipe one more time to remove the remaining oil that you can see below. So far I’m loving this Orgreenic ceramic cookware. I tried to find reviews about this product before we ordered and found one site that had some mixed reviews, but we decided to take a chance anyhow and I’m really glad we did. I’ll update this post after we use it for awhile.

Sounds like good stuff. I got worried with the oil sticking like that, but the rest did well, right.
If I cooked, I might think of investing in it.

Thanks for your comment on my blog. Poor Westie in that much snow.

That sounds like pretty good cookware! We are in need of better stuff, so I might have to look into that. (Not to mention two daughters needing kitchenware in the next year or so when they move out!) Thanks for the review…really like that grill top!

That looks like nice heavy stuff. Sure looks like it is easy to clean. We got new cookware too through our carpet sales last year. It was so much fun putting our teflon tore up stuff in the trash. I kept my revere ware pan to cook potatoes in that I want to mash. Don’t want to ding up the insides of my new pans with the hand mixer.

Looks like some pretty fancy cookware. I’m due for some new stuff, mine is old and wearing out. I think I would have had a panic attack over the seasoning thing….lol

Hi Jude,
Thanks for sharing your experience with your new orgreenic ceramic cookware. I do like the grill, that is pretty neat you can use that on your stove top. That would be healthier cooking. Have a great weekend! :-)

you are better off buying the 17 piece set, than individual pieces. To get to that link click on the contact us link on the orgreenic website and it will tell you how to order the 17 piece set.

Now that it has been a full month since your initial experience, how are things going? Are you still using this cookware? How frequently have you used it, and in what manner? Have you tried it in the oven? Is it okay to deglaze the pan and use it for reductions? Are there any ingredients they say you must not use (e.g. is it okay to cook with wine, vinegar, lemon juice, different oils, etc.)? Whatever became of those beads of oil? Does this cookware still cook AND clean up as well as it did in the beginning?

Rob: I’m going to post after a 6 month use because there are lots of things I haven’t tried yet. I still have to add a tiny amount of oil or spray Pam so I can flip my egg or it sticks, it simply didn’t work for me like shown on TV. I managed to remove the beads after reheating, I simply left them on too long when seasoning. Yes, you can deglaze and so far I haven’t found anything I can’t use with the Orgreenic, I even made milk gravy using the bacon drippings with no problem. The gravy leftovers came out easy unlike some other skillets I’ve used. Bill loves making pancakes and they come out great. So far we are still loving this Orgreenic cookware , Bill said he found a small scratch on the larger pan, but I don’t see it. I’m keeping my eyes on it for any type of damage, but so far we’ve been satisfied. I’m going to make cornbread next week so I’ll see how it works in the oven, but I’m sure there will be no problem. My grill doesn’t just wipe clean now, I do have to use a little soap and water, but it still cleans up fairly easy. The ham we cooked this morning stuck so I am now going down to wash it and see how hard it is to remove.

Wow..up to the minute info…this is really helpful Miss Jude. I’m trying to decide whether to purchase this and I’m skeptical of TV sales. Did you get the food chopper with this big purchase, how useful is that?
Well thanks again, I will check back to see your progress.

Hi Dave,
I am also skeptical of infomercials and looked for reviews before we ordered and they ran half and half so we decided to try them ourselves and if we didn’t like them we could return them.

Yes we received the chopper, but it’s smaller and the quality isn’t as good as the pampered chef one that we already had and love. It works the same, but you can only chop small amounts.

So far we still like them and I will see how we feel in a few more months of use. I really want to try a pineapple upside down cake.

I just got the whole set. We have to season it and use it. Glad to see the comment on seasoning it. Looks like it will work out. Only wish they had a big stock pot to do sauces and spaghetti. I was skeptical because some informercials are very misleading but figured I’d take a chance. My wife loves them and can’t wait to try them as soon as we season them. I’ll try to keep you posted on our results.

Cindy… I’m not the manufacturer I’m just a consumer and I have been reading about ceramic cookware for some time so we took a chance on Orgreenic because they gave us a lifetime warranty and “They” claim that it is non toxic with no PFOA. You could always check with the EPA or FDA and other experts which I am not.

your differing luck with the initial seasoning and the steaks may be for the same reasons, weight/type and amount of fats.

smaller amounts of ‘lighter’ oils often form a plastic-y resin at high heats, hence the brown spots. like cast iron, seasoning should be done with salt-pork/bacon/lard or olive oil (a plant oil that -doesn’t- resin, unlike canola/rapeseed, peanut, corn, etc.).

the steaks did well because tallow/beef-fat -is- a heavier fat that can take the higher heat and not resin, and there was enough of it to well soak the surface of the pan.

I have always used cast-iron skillets in the past and enjoyed their even heat and low stick. When seasoning them, I have found it better to use lard, instead of oil, like Kevin says. Oil seem to turn into a brown tar and doesn’t help the non-stick quality. Bet that’s why some people are having problems with sticking. After seasoning, it’s OK to use oil.

Ordered the trial skillet/cookbook/chopper online. Didn’t like the way that a $19 skillet turned into a $34 one because I was made to take the chopper and cookbook that I didn’t need or want. Free?…LOL. Right!

A couple of days after I placed the order, I received an e-mail that said they were very busy and that my order will be shipped within 15 days. That was 18 days ago. Hope it’s worth waiting for.

I finally order the whole set and give it try. My wife did the cooking and I did the cleaning. It’s a lot easier and faster than other cookwares that we have. We do not use a dishwasher. I order over the phone 800-280-5424 for 299.94 and no sales tax plus free shipping via FedEX. It come within 5 days after I ordered.

The 16 pc/set includes 9″ pan, 11 3/4″ pan with lid, 1 1/2 quart pt w/lid, 2 1/2 quart w/lid, square 11 3/4″ grill pan, 6 (9″ dia) quart pot w/lid, Aluminum Steamer Insert, 4 utensils, food chopper, and recipe guide

It has it own “OrGreenic” name on every handle that make they look expensive and durable cookware to me.

http://www.orgreenic.com/components.html

4 things I like this brand are:
1–> It really non stick minus the toxin vs other non stick pot and pan.
2–> It really to clean
3–> So far the bottom of each pot and pan don’t get burn or turn brown or black.
4–> The pot or pan heat evenly. The surrounding of pot and pan get really hot so watch out.

I’M SINGLE AND DO MY OWN COOKING. I ORDERED FROM THE AD, AND COULDN’T WAIT TILL I RECIEVED IT. I USED IT RIGHT AWAY THE NEXT DAY FOR BREAKFAST,BACON AND EGGS WERE GREAT. THE NON-STICK COATING MADE IT EASY. THE BACON DID NOT STICK OR BURN,AND THE EGGS WERE COOKED OVER MED JUST LIKE I LIKE. IF THE PAN IS THOS GOOD, I PLAN TO ORDER A COMPLETE SET FOR MY HOUSE. MAN WHAT A DIFFERENCE.

They claim these pans are non toxic and no harmful metals and they have an aluminum core so I’m thinking no. You could write them an ask them because I don’t know since they are made in China, but I would think they would have to be made to a specific code and inspected before imported. They are suppose to be environmentally safe. You can always get a home lead-test kit and check every thing.

Hi Jude, Loved your review and tests on the product seems neat… and I checked the links that were shown on in here, but they just take us directly to the telebrands website, so i found this website :

anyways im not located in the US and I would like to order this product but before ordering it I would like to know abt the weight of the product if you dont mind mentioning it online and the dimensions of the box too.

your response would be of great help to me!
and Looking fwd to more reviews from your side on this product, like what kinda spoons to use (wooden or steel) boiling pasta, or stir fry food with less oil, or preparing roast sort of dishes like lamb or duck or a whole pot roast, preparing gravies, …etc etc etc

thanks :)

I threw away the box 3 months ago so haven’t a clue about the correct dimensions. The Orgreenic cookware seems to be well crafted with a nice weight, but I really don’t feel like going down and weighing each piece you can always ask the company. You don’t want to use any metal utensils. I have never cooked lamb or duck before so don’t see myself cooking either of those just because I own the Orgreenic now. Stir frys, pasta and gravies are fine though. The slow cooker will do a roast, but I like my crock pot because we are usually out and about and I don’t have time to stay home and watch it in the oven or on top of the stove because for us weekends are when we do pot roast and we are usually out riding the bike. I removed your affiliate sales page link and Telebrands is the company that sells the product.

I finally got my frypan (3) months after ordering it. And guess what? Same thing happened about the oil not smoking, then getting stuck on. But, unfortunately I have not been able to rectify the proble. I cleaned and cleaned. Looked like it would be okay, but, when I tried to cook something, stuck on egg mess. Very unhappy… If anybody has a hint to help me, let me know.

Same with me watch when you order because I never ordered the whole set and got it anyways. I went in to look at a survey they wanted me to do about household ages etc and low and behold, I had ordered the entired set? ITS a trap!!! I called them next day and they said they need 48 hours to process the order before they can stop the order, I only wanted the skillett I have a great set of pans just cant find a good skillett I used the heck out of my other one. So here I am with a full set.. I guess I can give it to my Daughter is moving to the dorms with a kitchen but at the cost of the pans will the other 3 respect the pans? Anyway, my BOTTOM LINE PRICE WAS ONLY 179.95 for all the pans.. after doing the survey I see others paid 300.00? I guess I got a deal or I guess I got someone elses used/returned head ache? Well see, I will keep everyone updated too! thanks to all of you who have left messages.. Cheers!

One little thing I agree with someone who said season with Lard.. I have and still use castiron so I have been watching mom and myself season pains for 45 years or more.. GOOD LUCK

I ordered this last week and was and still am waiting to receive this. The customer service is AWFUL for me. First on back order and then they took the whole amount out instead of the payment plan. After 3 phone calls I get a superviser who says he sees where I should have been on payments, (Another one told me no I wasn’t and 1 hang up from a Superviser) But he can not refund and redo for payments. At this point I am sitting on, “I will send this up the ladder to higher management.”
Just to share my nightmare. On a good note they inform me Items should be here tomorrow.
we will see if that goes right.

Hello everyone,
Does anyone know where i could see this product in person. With all the mixed reviews here i’m having second thoughts if it really works as it says.
I read everything and still wondering if its really non-stick. Is everyone having this egg problem that its getting stuck. I’m thinking of getting it but not too sure if i should if it doesn’t do what it says. I’m also wondering how heavy are the pieces as its ceramic. I’m assuming its heavy no? I would appreciate any replies. Please help…
Thank you all :)

Daniel I’m going to do another review soon. It’s really not that heavy, I would say sturdy built and it has an aluminum core with the ceramic coating. Recently my skillets have started sticking more which is ticking me off. I’m going to try another re-seasoning soon to see if that will help, but I doubt it. The eggs stick without a little oil or butter and I can not just blow them out of the pan like they do on the infomercial. They are easy to clean up and haven’t chipped or peeled at all, at least not yet. It does have a lifetime warranty. I’ll do my next review shortly. You might want to hold off a bit and I know of no place other than the online site that sells this particular brand.

Anyone looking for a full set, I got one at 175.00 for full set including the cooking untisiels and chopper and cook book.. the full 16 pc set, too bad I didnt want it.. being single again I dont cook much and I have a full set of pans I use, but I needed a new fry pan.. I thought I was ordering a new fry pan when I filled out a survey to get a better deal with tax came to less than 200.00 so if I wanted to keep it that would have been a great deal.. I say look on the website for a way to do a survey and get the deal.. Me, Im sending it back.. they told me to keep the fry pan and chopper and untisels.. for my trouble.. so what a deal I got.. good luck.. PS MY FRY PAN is sticking like a mad man.. I seasoned it twice, having cast iron pans my entire life I know how to season.. guess it needs another round!?

Wow Bobby, you got 3 skillets? I only got 2 when did they change? and I’m amazed that you could cook an egg with no oil, not saying you didn’t just saying it certainly didn’t work for me and that’s what Bill was really looking forward to. I’ve wasted many an egg.

WindingDown when I was single I didn’t cook much myself, 200 was a good deal though. My skillets are sticking also, but at least they clean up easier than any I’ve ever had.

After finally getting mine 8 weeks and three days later the two i have are perfect. I seasoned them with vegetable oil as instructed. Waited for my for the light mist. Removed from the heat and allowed it to totally cool. Once wiping it out i cooked my infamous cheese eggs with no oil to see if it worked. I was so anxious to prove they wouldnt work that i was shocked when they actually worked. Wow! Anyway ive been using them for two weeks and they look like ive never used them

I tried cooking with fry pan and wasted an egg too.. today I cooked some stir fry and loved the color and the even cooking.. heck I may call them and say what deal can I get and Ill keep them.. but yeah 200 shipped is a deal, but being I have had 80% income loss over the past 2 years, I cant afford them, I only use my fry pan to cook and warm up all kinds of stuff thats why I still have a full set of good pans.. only needed the fry pan.. man LOVE TO TRY THE GRILL pan though.. but oh well.. need to ship them back…

Daniel, I hate my skillets and grill, they are starting to burn which really ticks me off, but they’re still the easiest I have ever had to clean. The rest seem to do okay, but I’m not a gourmet cook so I really haven’t used them as hard. Bill is now wishing he had just bought a few good pieces from target or some place and replaced them as needed. Since it’s only been since Feb. I’m still out on the verdict.

I just bought a green frying pan from Target. It was $36. for a 12″ . I used it twice and it looks like it is going to be a keeper. They also sell a set for less than $80. which looks nice, and it is the same brand that is sold on HSN for a lot more money. I think I may get that set in the future.

Pans not living up to my expectations, always need scrubbing after use, and bottoms are discolored. The insides do clean up nicely, however, I was hoping for a real non toxic non stick pan. Oh well……. I’ve been using mine since march

200 for all pans and chopper shipped is a deal, BUT I only wanted the skillet… I just filled out the online survey in the I want a skillet only area.. good luck

I send mine back since I only wanted the skillet they let me keep the skillet and chopper and sent me a return for the rest.. worked out ok with some head aches and tied up money on my card, it was worth it I think, IF they give me my money back soon..

I’ve had my set for about 3 months now. The pan I use the most is the 9″ fry pan. I have tried seasoning the pan twice and am still having problems with foods sticking, especially eggs. I hope I will not have a issue with “buyers remorse”. I have tried different oils and length of times for watching oils to smoke. Still sticking…any ideas? I’m feeling like I should attempt to send the set back but I’m past the thirty days.

I did some update reviews because mine are sticking more also, which ticks me off, but they are still easy to clean. I haven’t tried to have anything replaced yet though. People should just remember, “If it sounds too good to be true, then it usually is.” Bill sometimes has that remorse, but I still like them even though they haven’t lived up to the TV hype.

I agree, there are things I still like about the product. The surface seems durable and they are about the right weight. They are easy to clean. I think that is the confusing part. You would think that if they are easy to clean, food shouldn’t stick! Thanks for the reply. I still wonder what the lifetime guaranty REALLY means?

Thank you for all of your dedication and work on this. I purchased the Green Pan which is the same type of pan. The performed exactly as you have posted regarding the OrGreenic pans. Unfortunately I lost my reciept so the life time warrenty when out the window. I am hoping that they honor your life time warrenty. Still waiting for a light weight non-stick pan that is all they say these are. May be within the next 50 years it will happen.

Does anyone know if this cookware is as safe as the expensive Dr. Marcola cookware. Does it contain PFFO , PTFE, Silicone, other toxic chemicals or if the nonstick ceramic coating pourous allowing the aluminum to leach into food??? I would appreciate sharing any knowledge , as I am just trying to find the safest, most economic non stick cookware.

If you are concerned about your health, and healthy cooking, Dr. Julian Whitaker has a wellness center in California. One of the things he sells is ceramic cookware that is made in Europe. Concern was mentioned about products made in China.

Ceramic cookware can still be dangerous depending on the materials used in manufacturing. Lead based coloring can be used in giving the ceramic its color, in this case green. They don’t say whether or not they use this. They don’t mention any testing heavy metal leaching into your food. Plus these are made in China whose manufacturing processes are notorious for using lead based coloring in everything from mini blinds to food containers to who knows what else. If you want the best ceramic cookware, google Xtrema cookware. It’s solid ceramic and the videos will really impress you. Dr Mercola sells Xtrema as Mercola cookware … it’s the same product.

I just placed an order for the 9″pan. After I entered the credit card info, instead of giving me the total for my approval, it went directly to a confirmation. The confirmation included charged unrelatated to the 9″pan, so I called their customer service immediately to have them remove the unordered items. They refused. How’s that for an indication of their business practices?

Called immediately but operator said they would not have the order for 48 hours!! This is a fraudulent situation- I just hope the NJ State’s Attorney gets on their case before more folks lose money. It might have been legit. at first but now the website is engineered to deceive and swindle our money- send them to jail!!

How many pieces do you get for the $300 price of the cookware? Please give a detailed list (pans (type), lids (yes or no) etc… I am very interested in the cookware but when you go to their site, they don’t disclose anything except for the origianl 9″ fry pan that you get for the $20 price.
Any information would be appreciated.

Upon first examination of my new skillet, I found that the stamped logo on the bottom was struck with enough force to cause a visible deformation on the cooking surface. Will that affect the integrity of the cooking surface? One of those ‘time will tell’ situations.

Than I read the first-use instructions. That made me wonder — if this is supposed to be such a non-stick surface, why is oil from this ‘seasoning’ process supposed to stick to it?

Anyway, I just seasoned the skillet with olive oil and it smoked up just as the instructions said. The oil hardly would stick to the surface before heating and when it was hot I had to be careful handling the pan to keep the hot oil from running up the side and over the edge.

It’s cooling down now before I cook my first eggs, to be followed by my real tests, hash browns and then my gramma’s potato-onion stir fry (which I’m hoping will be a flip fry).

I bought the Green pans through HSN. At first my son and I loved them. But as you keep using them, food starts to stick more and more. Also, it started to get scratches and chips which made the food stick even more. I went back and bought a T-Fal non-stick pan, which I am a whole lot more happy with.

BEWARE::::: I was in marketing for many years and I have seen over the years that things that are sub standard are usually infomercialed by a fast-talking, energetic person, and more commonly now, one with a British accent. I was one of those that made those infomercials KNOWING that a product was not as stated. However, everyone has a legal right to sell what they wish and boundaries are pushed to its limits, at best, for fraudulent advertising. No one ever pursues anything legally as it is expensive and time consuming, Not to mention that the company is usually in another state which requires much traveling to pursue anything. So one just usually say, “They live and learn” and will not buy that product again. It is a marketing fact that people subconsciously think that if something is made elsewhere, its better. (the grass is greener on the other side of the fence syndrome) Example: Calif oranges are marketed heavily in Florida and visa-versa. Are either really better? If its quality; there is no need to talk fast and certainly no reason not to have no further info on their website. Also making you buy “free” items (under a handling umbrella) should always be your first clue. Two last thoughts: Make sure it is in writing and not stated by a telephone sales order taker that your 30-day money back guarantee starts from day of receiving item(s) and not purchase date. Many shady companies wait purposely 30 days to ship so that you may not return item. The “30 day money back offer” is by law and not because a company is confident in their product, and this is their way to circumvent that law legally. Paying a little more for an express shipping may be worth its weight in gold as it clearly defined when your 30 days begin. Last; read as many reviews that you can which many people already do. You can usually sift thru the postings by hostile ex-employees or those that actually work for the company. Yes, that is a common issue. Companies have current PR employees continue to post mostly positive postings mingled with a few little insignificant negative comments such as delays in shipping to seem legit. Signed; a person out of deceptive marketing, by CHOICE, and can sleep well again at night now.

I had the same experience with the “seasoning” process. The oil beaded up like water on a freshly waxed car, and I let it sit over a flame way longer than I was comfortable with, but it never began to smoke. I did let mine cool before wiping it out, but I had the same sticky mess in the pan from this “seasoning” process. I followed the directions to the letter, so that was disappointing.

The pan is pretty impressive though. I’d rather pay $10 less and do without the chopper and the robostirs, neither of which are worth a darn. But the pan is heavy, solid, well made.

I was worried that the metal handle would get hot, but it has not been a problem.

They need to have better explanation for the seasoning process though. What we tried obviously is not what they had in mind, but that’s what the instructions said to do.

I am happy to hear the good news about this Eco-friendly product & happy to hear that so many are choosing to be more green. However, I’m horrified to hear about all of you that are “throwing away” your old pots & pans!!! These items can be easily recycled or donated to others that are less fortunate!! DON’T BUY THESE PANS!!!!!!!!! I spoke to an Orgreenic representative whom told me I could purchase a full set of these pans for 6 monthly payments of $49.99 to which I agreed, then they went and charged me the full $240. I called them and asked them why and they tried to play it off as a mistake and said they would refund all but the first payment in 6-8 weeks. I told them I needed the money back sooner than that because all my bills were going to bounce. The representative became ignorant and told me she didn’t care. It has been past the 6-8 weeks since I spoke to them and they still have not refunded the money like they said. These pans are NOT worth the money or the trouble. I tried them out and followed the instructions to the T and they stick worse than my other pans that have no non- stick treatment. This purchase is the worst thing I’ve ever bought and the customer service is rude and unreliable.

Amazon.com sells the entire orgreenic set for $101.00 including shipping. I think I will order mine from them! I sold cookware in a big department store for years. If you use too much heat you can warp any type of pan even a $200. coper clad stainless one. (done that) for $100 bucks from amazon I will be willing to take my chances, use ordinary care while cooking in the orgreenic pans, and be happy that I am not contaminateing my food with bits of the coating from regular non stick pans.

DO NOT order from this company. It advertises for 19 but charge for 40. It doesn’t provide information on how much the entire set cost unless you provide your credit card info. The company will charge your credit card doesn’t matter you hit “submit” or “confirm” button. The company will charge your credit card anyway. Again, do not buy from this company. Thanx guys all of ya are such a blessing to me. I have been living in the US for just over a year now. I am a Scottish believer. Here with military. Orgreenic caught my attention but thank God not for long enough. Personally I feel for every American, I don’t know how you deal with the amount of advertising here its insane.
Here is what I would suggest: get recordable tv or if you have it use it. What I do is when I find a programme I want to watch: Pause tv. Go off and do something else. Come back watch what I want to and fast forward through the adverts. That or record it and do the same. Well thanx again. The only place the grass is greener, is in the Kingdom of God. And His Kingdom is in you: When you believe in Jesus.

P.S. As for the informercials, Are we addicted to this crap. Hmm, I believe in all of us. We can say no and lets switch this CRAP off.

We will certainly be more Blessed for it.

My sister had the same bad experience as Cathy of comment#165. She went online to order 2 of the 9″ pan special for $19.99 EACH with the free gift but got charged for 2 complete sets for over $1000 dollar. When she tried to cancel the order, it doesn’t allow her to do so. She called the 800 service number to cancel the order but she got passed on to different people and still couldn’t cancel her order. Just got it and did the oil smoke thingy. I was pretty excited to be using it for I needed to replace the non stick pan I have. I waited for about 15 minutes and I thought I saw smoke and closed it. Followed the directions. I was surprised to fine that the pan left burnt marks already. I cooked tofu on it first to test it out. I had to add oil because it was sticking really bad. As of now, I’m pretty disappointed. My wife looked at me without an word (I took you so.) I cooked a sausage afterward with out oil, but it was sticking to the pan so I added oil. Where did I go wrong? Lesson learned.

Well, good news for me. I sent back the frying pan for a replacement and the company ended up giving me a refund for the purchase price $19.99. The waived the rapid delivery price of $9.99. Doug, have you tried calling the company for a replacement. Tell them you don’t know what happened to the frying pan. Its not nonstick anymore. They have a lifetime replacement. According to them, they’ll send you a prepaid UPS shipping label. Butter them up first, so they would be willing to help you out. Tell them you like them item, but don’t know what you did wrong. At least for me I got a refund from just doing this recently. Best of luck. This will be my last reply to this. My issue has been solved.

I decided to buy one and see before I got the whole set. I seasoned and used it right away. My eggs did stick without some type of oil or butter and after 2 eggs the enamel is scratched. I am going to send it back as I am concerned with what’s under the enamel and with how quickly it seemed to scratch, who knows what it’s made of. Don’t believe the infomercials.

I was about to get the buy one fry pan get one free deal when I decided to google and see if there were any reviews. I am SO glad and thankful i found this posting and thank you all for taking the time to write about your experience. I am looking for safe, healthy cookware as I’m Mother to 4 and fighting my 1th cancer tumor. Because I have never done anything typically associated with cancer ie smoking, drinking, poor eating, etc., I have wondered if the cause could have been things like my Mom using aluminum foil excessively, growing up with indoor smoke, etc. I want to give my kids the safeste upbringing so if anyone knows of truly safe nonstick cookware, I don’t mind the need to clean it as long as it is actually SAFE, please suggest other brands. I also don’t have unlmtd funds, and want to buy US made so I know it is following US manufacturing laws (ie lead) and also it’s much easier to make a complaint if needed when you buy from a store or at least in the US. Companies over seas are not subject to US regulations and laws for the most part, which is why so many are having problems with being sent things not ordered, not receiving refunds, and defiant customer service. Thanks again!

Wow! thanks for starting this blog..even though I know from life experience that “if it sounds to good to be true” it usually is…I still hope for something really awesome to appear with honest marketing behind it. It gets harder and harder to have faith in mankind but, people like you restore my faith. Thank you!

I would not trust this company. They have dozens of phony websites purporting to offer “independent” reviews, all of which are really just sales pitches. If you work hard enough to find a real review site (like this one), there are many complaints.

Orgreenic pans look good whoever there claims of healthy cooking but everyone knows how completely terrible the quality control is in China where there made….if this. Company. Really. Cared about us they would make it here in the USA and truly. Be organic … there are other ceramic pans. Green+Organic is a joke when it says made in china!

Wow…at first this product didn’t work as stated… I tried everything from seasoning to using oil and still nothing! Crap!
But… When I started to talk fast with British accent everything was working and cooking great! Nothing was sticking to the pan… Amazing!!! If you would like a list of the words and phrases I used with the British accent, just send me $19.99 and I will give a nice list of all the British phrases I’ve used…

I received an email today on Ogreenic and followed it to the infomercial. Looked good. Sought reviews but they all acted like a review and had a link to BUY! Then I found you. Thanks, you saved me time and money.

Hmmmm…. I used the frying pan for the first time today and my egg slid around the pan, just like in the commercial. I did season it as in the directions and barely got some smoking before I turned it off. The oil just wiped out. I’m going to continue to give them a chance. Will probably not go the route of getting the whole set after reading all this, but wanted to let you know out there that my pan seemed to work great this time.

I bought this crap – one 10″ pan- over a year ago. I was careful to season it, etc. Food stuck. Tried to season it again. Struck out. So, I hardly used it and now I’m noticing the handle is wiggling. Fabulous.. I am keeping it only because when I need to sear something in high fire- this pan heats up super quick and will not stick when 1) it’s at a very hot temp and 2) you put oil in the pan before frying your food. The pan looks hideous with all the dried black spots and lines from trying to season it.

Come on people, we have got to quit buying things made in China, I was interested until that I will not buy from China. We are in bad shape and if we keep buying from China they will rule us.

Saw the infomercial, and was so close to clicking the buy button for these. Then I saw this page of reviews and am sooooo happy I decided to do a little more research. Steering clear of this stuff, and looking into Paula Deen cookware. THANK YOU all for the honest reviews!!!

I’m glad I stumbled upon your site Jude, but REALLY disappointed. I purchased the set as a Christmas gift for myself – I’ve never had new pans, only hand-me-downs. They arrived just today, and I was searching online if I should wash the pans before seasoning (it doesn’t say in the included paperwork), and I found your blog. After reading, I seasoned one skillet using olive oil (my only other option in-house was Canola); no, it didn’t smoke, but I only left it on for maybe 15 minutes. I find it curious that I find NO instruction on Google about seasoning ceramic cookware – just cast iron. When ordering, the saleslady (Barbara #5044) was somehow able to remove one of the $50 payments, bringing the cost down to $250, and she said the set was dishwasher SAFE. When getting the set today, I noticed these things: 1) It’s NOT dishwasher safe, per the care instructions, 2) The printed warranty does NOT match what was said on the infomercial, and 3) I did NOT receive my free gift. I did, however, seem to get an extra 9.5″ skillet (so I have 2). I also got 2 of the same cookbook. I called Cust Svc, and she said, 1) NOT dishwasher safe, and apologized about the misinformation from Babs, 2) The warranty is as the informercial stated, but does NOT have anything in writing to cement, and 3) She’s sending issue to “upper mgmt” to send my my free gift. I’m going to try to cook on it tomorrow, then probably send it back. I do NOT have a good feeling about this. It IS a pretty set, but I need it to WORK and LAST. Was anyone able to get the return shipping covered by them?? OH, and P.S…I was told by Babs that I have SIXTY days to change my mind – not the 30 that I see everyone’s talking about. Wish me luck regardless. Ciao!

Well this really bites, I found this thread AFTER I order the set. Was really looking to replace my old Members Mark from Sam’s Club 11 yrs old. Glad I used my AMEX card, they seem to back us up with any issue’s with the type of company this is. Just have to wait now for it to be delivered.

Thanks for all the great reviews. Too good to be true lives on. Received an email from them today advertising this cookware. Had seen the tv commercial Sunday, was about to order the pans only. Saw that it was almost $40.00 so decided to look for reviews. Glad I found this site. No more infocommercials for me. Thanks all. Buy American.

I bought 2 pans, a 10 and 12 “. I tried to season both of them twice. I couldn’t get them to smoke. Food stuck. Now I use Pam before a cook. Food slides right out with no problem. Sure not what was advertised but better then my old pans.

My wife bought an orgreenic fry pan from some local store and she said she seasoned it per the instructions. She can be quite impatient, at times, so after she told me that the pan didn’t perform as anticipated, I had suspitions of her performing the “seasoning” correctly. After a couple of days, I pulled the pan out to fry up eggs for breakfast. Before use, I added just a few drops of vegetable oil, just to aid the non-stick function; because of my wifes previous experience. Just as with most comments on this thread, my egg frying experience didn’t go well. The eggs had to be scraped up to flip them over. I thought for sure, with a few drops of oil, everything would go well. I would have faired much better with our old seasoned cast iron skillet; which typically does a good job with eggs.

After reading these comments, i’m satisfied that my wife did the seasoning as instructed, but our pan, and apparently the whole “Orgreenic” concept of non-stick, does not live up to the hype.

The only positive I can say at this time, the pan did clean up with just a wipe.

After my cooking experience, I thought I would check online for more info – that’s how I came across this site. It definate sounds like everyone should avoid these products. I know this pan we have is the only one that will come into our home.

Jude, you have done everyone a great service with the posting of this page. Thanks so much for the effort.

I’m so glad I did some searching on the web and found your blog, because I think I would have stepped right in the same cow pat.
I’m looking for a good non stick big fry pan and. My husband and I were laughing our pants off *not AT you* but in relief that your experience and many of the others who left comments, helped us avoid shelling out for a pile of poop.
We did find that there was a cook off for non stick pans by Americas Test Kitchen and they have help us decide on a brand of non stick fry pan to get. Now they did say that No non stick fry pan or any non stick pan is going to remain non stick forever. The coating does degrade over time. But you can get a good bargain with research. We are going to be getting some T Fal. And I have to say this is a brand that I have had in the past, and actually wore one pan out,. I do still have my little egg fryer pan, and yes I do have to use oil, but over all it still cooks pretty good and I can still get a fried egg out of it with minimum of clean up. Yes I still use a little fat. But that pan is now over 8 years old.

Cheers

Stop all this insanity, use good ole american made cast iron, I’ve used my grandmothers which are now 100 years old. I’m now a grandmother myself and still use them. Seasoned right they do not stick, bake, roast, and fry like a dream. By the way me or my family & now my grandchildren have NEVER had an iron shortage. If I make pineapple upside down cake you’ll need to reseason, but well worth it. They make skillets, griddles, roasters and pots, grills and more. All go from stove top to oven and even a camp fire. They don’t break, and you can’t even burn them up I’ve tried and my “egg skillet”, is a six inch cast iron & shinny as glass nothing stocks to it the more you use them the better they get so divide cost of cast iron over say 100 years and you’ll see they are priceless.

Wow! Unfortunately, I ordered a some of the skillets 4 days ago. When I called, they were already sent out. I told them their website was sad. No website I have ever been on asks for the credit card info before anything else. I guess that should have been a hint to me, but my desire to have green pans got the best of me! I personally went to a pan show 30+ years ago for Saladmaster pans. I bought a set, even though they were expensive (you could make payments with no interest so I did) I still have the whole set, they look great and they work great – they are stainless steel. If you buy heavy stainless, you get great cooking, easy clean-up, and no chemicals. My only problem with cast iron is that every time you cook with them the pores of the pan open, releasing food particles from years ago – yuck! If you don’t believe me – just put pure water in your pan and let it heat up for a few minutes. You will have nasty looking water – want to drink it? I think not. The pans I have you can usually only get at home parties or sometimes they have demonstrations at state fairs, etc. They are not cheap, but they last a life time. Another company out there that has the same types of pans as Salad Master is Pro Health. I have some of those too and they work just as well. The advantage to these brands is they are waterless cookware. They also have an electric skillet with an oil core so you can fry chicken without any grease and it comes out wonderfully. I love these pans. They are heavy, easy to clean, and good for your health. I have been cooking with them since 1976. They are the only pans I have ever bought with the exception of this green pan which I am now wishing I hadn’t. I do worry about the lean and other stuff since they are made in China. I guess what I am trying to say is – if you want a good set of pans that cleans easily, lasts a long time, and is healthy for you, buy the heaviest stainless you can afford. It beats anything else – hands down!

You would think you guys woulda payed attention to the commercial a bit better… i found it funny that the instructions everyone posts says before first use to put oil on the pan and heat it till the pan smokes to season the pan, however if you watch the commercial it says that the pan isnt suppose to smoke at all unlike others pans. think about this lol. commercial says it wont smoke then pan instructions says it will at medium heat during seasoning… lol first sign of scam.

Jude, thanks for an excellent review and having a non-biased site that isn’t a paid advertisement for Orgreenic. I too was intrigued by this supposedly “wonderful skillet” but fortunately, I’m a slow to purchase – especially off the TV. When I saw your review, and read the remaining comments and your further review – that cinched the deal for me. No way was I going to get hooked with that. Now, my wife and I went out to Bed, Bath and Beyond here in Montgomery, AL the other day and guess what they are selling? That’s right – that Orgreenic skillet. They sell for $19.99 and you don’t have to buy two or pay shipping, or deal with some high pressured sales pitch. That info is provided solely for the folks that (after reading all the above comments) would still like to try it out. I didn’t have a desire to purchase one of the OrGreenic skillets but I did notice another brand of non-stick skillet they had there and it came in 3 different sizes. It’s also PFOA/PTFE/CADMIUM free. It’s made by Bialetti and the name is AETERNUM. I purchased the 12″ but I believe the other sizes were 8″ and 10″ but don’t quote me on that. The 12″ $39.99 and you don’t have to “season” it before cooking. It does say to use a small amount of oil and I normally use spray on Pam when I’m cooking my eggs and I’ve found that it cooks very evenly and is a breeze to clean. Haven’t had anything stick in it but I normally just use it for omelettes. It can also withstand temperatures up to 750 degrees but I don’t know of circumstances where I could or would get it that hot.

Now for the good part. I asked the manager there at Bed, Bath and Beyond if they stand behind their products and he informed me they do 100%. So, if anyone still wants to try one of these OrGreenic skillets (without the hassle and without the high pressure sales,) I recommend you purchase it at BB&B and if you have a problem with it and you purchased it there, just take it back – of course, you will need your original receipt.

As for me, after a couple weeks of regular use, I’m happy as a clam with my new non-stick AETERNUM – but I’m keeping my receipt just to be sure. ;-)
