Burnt Milk Test/Orgreenic Ceramic Pan

Since purchasing the Orgreenic ceramic pots and pans many people have inquired about my usage and if I like them. We got them in February and use them almost every day unless we just make a sandwich. I still can’t fry an egg without a touch of oil like they did in the infomercial, but that’s really not a deal breaker for us.
I’ve had no problem with de-glazing, I’ve cooked with wine and beer, I’ve made spaghetti sauce, baked cornbread in the oven, plus numerous other recipes and the cleanup is the easiest I’ve ever had. You’re not suppose to put them in your dishwasher, but they clean up so easy it really doesn’t matter to me. I never use metal utensils with them and the little food chopper works okay, but I prefer our Pampered Chef one it’s easier to clean.
There are many different brands of ceramic cookware out there, but Bill is a sucker for infomercials. The Orgreenic ceramic cookware is made in China and I have read warnings about lead leaching into food from products made in China and Mexico. We took a chance that this was a superior product that had been fired right. Besides they have a lifetime guarantee not a year or 10 like some others we saw and we could send them back within 30 days if we didn’t like them.
This is not flimsy ceramic cookware, it seems to be very well crafted with a nice weight to it. I watched a video online of a chef doing a burnt milk test on a Safepan and the burnt milk rolled right out. Monkey see monkey do, the milk I used wasn’t as heavy as the milk he used and I left mine on way to long because I got sidetracked.
I waited for Bill to go to the store before I decided to ruin his pan or rather conduct my test and my results are below. Yes, I know I’m nuts, but I wanted to see what my Orgreenic pan would do. I was surprised when I was able to roll part of it out because mine really got burnt on not like the video I watched so I thought for sure I had just ruined that pan.
I had to use my spatula to loosen the worse part and was amazed when I took a wet paper towel and cleaned out the rest. If nothing else the clean up is by far the easiest I’ve ever had. When the milk burnt there was barely any smoke and if there had been no burnt smell Bill would have never known that I had conducted my burnt milk test on his Orgreenic ceramic pan. Yes, we still like them.
