Monday Is My Last Day With Entrecard

Posted by: jude   in Mature Not Senile Misc

Mature-Not-SenileMonday will be my last day in Entrecard, I will be removing the widget after the last advertiser runs. I have felt bad declining all the blogs that have been trying to advertise the past week, but have explained when declining.  Over the past 2 years I have discovered some really great blogs through their program and for that I’m grateful, but it’s time to just enjoy blogging without feeling the pressure of returning drops.

Now when I visit blogs it will be because I want to not because I am working a program. I have really appreciated all the vistors and comments over the past 2 years and hopefully some of you will still visit from time to time just because you want to. Since I haven’t been dropping much lately I just feel like it’s time to move on to other things and with Spring coming I know I will be very busy. I wish all the best for all of you nice people and hope you get every thing you want from life and blogging.

The older I get the more aches and pains I feel and lately I’ve noticed I groan and moan alot and when Bill asks me where I hurt,  all I can answer is everywhere. I have no clue where one pain starts or ends. I almost feel like a hypochondriac thinking I probably have everything in the medical book because so many of my symptoms sound like everything I read.

I took one of those quizzes and now I really feel bad because I scored higher than I thought I would, bummer. Of course it’s a silly quiz and really doesn’t mean diddly squat. Whoever made it up didn’t even word their sentences correctly before the quiz so it was more of a fun thing for me.

You Are 64% Hypochondriac

You are a bit of a hypochondriac, but nothing too extreme (yet).
You watch your health a little more than you should – even when there’s nothing to worry about.

Are You a Hypochondriac?

I do have a tendency to self diagnose though and after hearing the commercial on television about fibromyalgia I thought wow that could cover lots of my symtoms so I’ve been investigating this further. The following symptoms listed are from www.fibromyalgia-symptoms.org:

Widespread Pain, Morning Stiffness, Fatigue, Vision Problems, Nausea,  Sleep Disorders, Urinary and Pelvic Problems,  Weight Gain, Dizziness,  Chronic Headaches,  Cold Symptoms, Temperomandibular Joint Dysfunction Syndrome,  Multiple Chemical Sensitivity Syndromes , “Fibrofog”: Cognitive or Memory Impairment, Skin Complaints,  Chest Symptoms,  Anxiety,  Depression,  Dysmenorrhea,  Aggravating Factors, Myofascial Pain Syndrome,  Muscle Twitches and Weakness,  Memory Loss: Is it Real?, Weather Changes, The Menstrual Cycle,  Troubles Breathing?

At least now instead of feeling like a hypochondriac, after reading more about fibromyalgia I will have something they can actually check for and I wont feel bad about telling the doctor about all the symptoms I have. Of course I don’t have every one listed above, but I do have many and the good news is this is not some dreaded disease that will kill me.

I’m A Dysfunctional Socializer

Posted by: jude   in Mature Not Senile Misc

I have no clue why I join programs to socialize and then never really socialize. I have decided not to join anything else because I have no clue how they work. Every once in awhile I go on Facebook to keep up with old friends and family because I hate talking on phones. I don’t play the games or really get involved, but sometimes I try to find people that I may have gone to school with.

The other night I apparently hit add friends or find friends and it sent invitations to everyone in my address book going back 8 years. I am such an idiot and don’t even remember half those people nor apparently do half of them  even remember where they know me from. I will have to be careful what I click from now on or just abstain from even bothering to log in. I can’t even remember half of the social sites I’ve joined over the years, however Twitter is one I never bothered with.

After 2 years of using the program Entrecard for finding new blogs and driving more traffic to this blog I have finally decided to terminate my association in 2 weeks time. I enjoyed using the program and found some great blogs which I will continue to visit. I really don’t have the desire or time even though I will continue to update here and visit the blogs I like.

It’s not like I’m imparting any great helpful news or wisdom and I’m not witty and funny. I started this as a personal website almost 8 years ago then switched it to a marketing website. Then 2 years ago I decided to try blogging and switched it again. I like blogging, but I really don’t have a burning desire to be a writer, I just like the idea of throwing words out there that mean nothing to anyone, but myself. I need to go for awhile so take care everyone.

I just about cracked up when I received the phishing e-mail from PayPal below in my regular mail and not my spam. I get PayPal phishing e-mails all the time, but they seldom end up in my inbox. This person must be very new at this because they didn’t even change this “xezdcg@webssl.com” to look like a PayPal address and if these people actually think I would download an attachment and fill it out with all of my credit card info and send it to them then they must really be a sub-par crook. I really cracked up when I read this part at the very end: “ Note: Your Card Number and ATM PIN are being used for authentication purposes.”
