Thank-You Theresa/A Bumpy Path

Posted by: jude   in Mature Not Senile Misc

I was working on a campaign for advertising and went to Theresa’s blog A Bumpy Path because for some odd reason I haven’t been there in a couple of weeks even though she’s on my blog roll. Lately I have just been dropping on the people in my inbox, but I always enjoy reading Theresa’s blog I guess she’s been busy and not dropping much herself.

While I was catching up on her posts I saw she had given me this award for loyalty and it made me feel bad because I hadn’t been there for awhile, now how loyal is that? I wont make excuses because life gets in the way of what we intend sometimes. I would like to thank you Theresa for this award and feel honored that you thought of me. There are many loyal bloggers I have run into so I’m not sure who to choose.

There’s only 2 television shows that I’ve watched this Summer and both come on Sunday night at 9. One is True Blood and the other is Drop Dead Diva. Of course I can’t watch both so I usually watch True Blood even though I can always watch that one later, but Bill for some odd reason also likes it. So I end up watching the other one on the computer the next day which I find very entertaining. Anyone else watch Drop Dead Diva? I happened to watch one episode and thought it was very cleverly written.

I have to admit True Blood is weird and seems to get even more weird every time I watch it so I guess that makes me weird for watching. It’s funny to watch how much Bill gets involved and gets upset with the characters, that’s actually more entertaining than the show. He hates Marianne and thinks Sooky is stupid. I have no clue why we got hooked on this show, but it seems to have been a big hit with many. I really don’t think I’ll buy any of their True Blood soda though.

I guess the new season of some of the shows I like will be starting back up again soon. I always have a problem finding them though because they always switch them around on me and I usually forget them if I can’t find them. I can only remember a couple of the ones I watched last year, like American Idol, yes I like to see the new talent they come up with. Maybe the show will be better without Paula, if Simon left I would probably not watch it anymore, I happen to like his wit. I also watch Heroes, but I can’t seem to remember the other few shows.

Have a great weekend, I hope it’s not rainy where you are. I love that widget similar posts because as soon as I posted this and published it the post with my must watch television shows came up. I hate when I can’t remember stuff.

Playing God Is Not Easy

Posted by: jude   in Mature Not Senile Misc

The list of search words below changes daily depending on what I post about and what people are looking for and end up on my blog. I get a kick out of some of the search terms, but the ones listed below are the usual ones, sometimes there’s some really weird search phrases. I like Clicky and it gives me all the information I need. I used Google Analytics for awhile, but decided I didn’t want Google knowing every detail of my blog, they know enough as it is so I removed it last year.

I seem to get visits from people searching for answers and comments about Dr. Frank’s Pet Pain Spray. Some people send me e-mails and others leave a comment like Emma which upset me a little.

Emma:
“My dear woman, I know nothing about you except the post above, but it sounds like things are very difficult for you. I had a similar situation with and older dog, many years ago. He was very ill, incontinent, and could do little more than lie on the couch. I convinced myself that since I didn’t mind caring for him and because I loved him so much, that I shouldn’t “needlessly” put him down.

I never took into consideration that despite the fact that he still had his faculties, he had long passed having any quality of life. Dogs, unlike any other pet we will ever have, will do ANYTHING to please us, including trying to soldier on when they are in constant pain. As strange as it sounds, if you truly love your friend, end his suffering peacefully and cherish his memory forever.”

For the most part my Shadow is not in pain unless I flip him over the wrong way and then he growls at me. If I thought he was suffering and in constant pain I would help him cross over, I hope. This isn’t really a decision I’m prepared to make at this time. Has anyone that passes through my blog ever been faced with this type of decision? How can you look into those trusting eyes and say good-bye, sleep well.

Every time I think about it I cry.

This Post Is Like My Mind/ Muddled

Posted by: jude   in Mature Not Senile Misc

This post is disconnected and unrelated and will probably not be of interest to anyone but me  so don’t feel like you have to wade through any of it. Bill had to go have the pressure checked in his eye after the laser surgery last month. The pressure had been up to 31 and after surgery it went down to 20 and after a month it is now down to 18 and if it stays low the doctor may take some of the numerous drops away that Bill has to use morning and night.

I called my DIL again the other night to see if they were coming up from Kentucky to stay awhile. I haven’t seen Ethan since March and they grow and change so fast during the first year. She assured me she was getting everything packed and would be leaving within the next two days. During our talk I was amazed that she thinks she knew my Son better than his own Mother did. She knew him for 5 years of course in a different manner and my Son was no Saint, but now apparently through her eyes he was.

I’m amazed that all the big companies and many small ones have closed around here and yet Bill’s company as small as it is, is getting swamped with work and he can’t keep help. They seem to come and go and after they go they realize they can’t find another job and want to come back. He believes in giving a second chance, but usually many of them screw that up and want a 3rd and 4th. Most of these guys are young and think the world belongs to them, but they don’t want to work.

I spent yesterday changing one of my websites over to Bluehost from GoDaddy. I have too many things spread all around and I need to get them all in one place so I can manage everything better. I also added a blog to that website and moved all the articles from that site to the blog and eliminated and changed some pages. I’m quite sure Google will penalize me for adding all the articles on the same day, but I don’t really care at this point.

I need to wrap this up and get some other work done so have a great day. This was a fast week, hard to believe the weekend is almost here again. Thanks to everyone that left comments about the Entrecard change, it’s nice to get a different perspective.
